Normally I'd pass it off as 'fhe way Western v-tuber fans treat their new toys' in the way they mass subscribe and then lose interest over time, but certain things she's mentioned seem to be outright maliciousness and retarded behaviour.

For those who don't know, Alice is extremely hard-working and subtitles her own content into English despite not being fluent. As an indie who can only consider this a hobby, that's a lot of work. I do think she's made a mistake expecting new people to constantly promote her everywhere, mind you, but the diminishing attention of the western fans who flocked to them is something that has driven other Indies to retirement in the past.

Yeah sounds like peak EOP behavior. I always found it weird how a lot of the JP holos seem to not mind all the EOPs spamming the same shit every day (Im horny/say honey/rushia boing boing/etc) and instead even kind of encourage it?
A lot of this comes off as whiney that she's not getting higher numbers but that could be partly the language barrier, I think what she means to be saying is for all the overseas subs and chatters she gets very few of them seem to actually care about the content.

I guess it boils down to money. Holos get paid in superchats to say things, and never actually punishing people for spamming dead jokes empowers them to stick around and feel they're doing something productive, which in turns means they're more likely to remain attached and buy their merch/superchats/memberships.

If you're an indie doing it as a hobby, and most of your chat is strongarming you into saying dumb phrases, I can see why that may be exhausting or may make them feel like they're just a clown or something.

I won't concernfag over Alice because I do still think she has the facilities to get people on board (mainly that she literally subs her own vids and some streams which not even fucking Coco does). She's just a victim of an unfortunate wave of pitysubs who were never really interested in giving her an honest chance.

sounds to me someone is just mad for not getting the big numbers and superchats. i dont use this word often but she sounds very, entitled. people thinking they can be big V-tubers like holo and make a crap ton of money by going independed are the crazy ones. only a very lucky few can hope to ever get that big especially on their own.

still, subding your hours long streams sounds like a fools earned. thats why you get an editor to do it for you so you dont burn out.
