Their "big bro" right now is Iran who is arming them and Hezbollah. Hezbollah are Persians, a cut above arabs and jews. They have real weaponry and real training. If they started to attack it would be devastating, considering Hamas was able to puncture Iron Dome defenses with their garbage tier weaponry.
Hezbollah is just biding it's time. I'm sure they want to strike at a more convenient time though, this is all happening out of the blue. It seems the way things are moving, that might happen. I don't think either Hamas or the IDF is going to back down soon.
