General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Let me interrupt this discussion for... Clips!

Is this even legal?
it's like a pity system in gatcha, when they see you put quite some money in and still didn't get it, they help you out. nothing illegal about it, but you could try to complain with "I deserve to get it in X tries" and they'll laugh in your face with the terms of service.
you'd get it inevitably if you fill it up high enough, they just they save you some time (and money, you already spend enough at that point). which you then spend on the next thing you want since you're more likely to come back. simple customer service for higher retention/more customers.

I still say give them a chance. I'm sure they're all trying to find their "a" moment that'll jumpstart their new career. Most of HoloEN have really changed since their debut. I'll admit my hype is pretty low, Vshojo 2.0 doesn't interest me. I'm hoping for Ina-type surprise reveals that these girls are more talented then they're coming off.

Edit: Got this off the nijisanji subreddit but the thee static images in the background are supposedly "a guy with a name tag, a girl in a dress, and a girl in a school uniform - left to right." I'm not sure I see it but let's see.. Reminds me of the beginning of Overwatch where we were looking for clues and background easter eggs for hints to upcoming heroes. Could be an interesting gimmick.

Delu stream in 90 minutes
fuck.. bla bla sleep is for the weak but I seriously need the sleep this time around. Hoping to see some kind of tl;dr of the stream.

Delu has a LOT of mods who speak English, weird.
she was the one that got away. Alot of overseas fans I think felt like she was the Towa they couldn't save (not like they could've done much, she was literally being doxxed by the autistic nipfags)

So I checked who they're following:

Pomu: NijiEN, NijiID, NijiJP, Pikamee, Ollie, and all of VSHOJO.

Elira: NijiEN, NijiID, NijiKR, NijiJP, some VirtualReal, and Froot, Mousey, and Zentreya of VSHOJO.

Finana: NijiEN, NijiJP, NijiID, Ollie, and Iofi.

None of them have elected to follow HoloEN just yet.
Honestly that information combined with the odd debut times has me speculating that they're either around the East Asia region (SEA, Korea, Foreigner living in Japan, Taiwan) or Australia. I'm not trying to assert that they'd have to have an American for an EN branch to work but it kind of helps in terms of viewership I would think. I could be wrong and they either have some fucked scheduling or they're Americans but living in Hawaii/Alaska.

I didn’t expect to see superchats turned on. She’s already gotten quite a bit of reds

Edit: They got her to say “Hi honey” and “Hey guys” chat then exploded especially after the latter.

Edit 2: The tag for public streams is now going to be #DeluLive and she wants to do a superchat reading stream in the future. Unfortunately I can’t watch the rest now so hopefully someone else will be able to give important summary details

If the indie guesswork going about earlier is correct about who this group is composed of, yeah they're almost certainly all based in SE Asia. Hell I'd say the debut timings alone are enough to show this group is Asian based and primarily meant for Asian audiences. It's like Niji wants a new ID branch without the ID tag (to start fresh), or is determined to emulate Calli and HoloID (for the success of their English streams).

If true it would be a very weird choice when the goal is seemingly appealing to audiences mostly located in North America and Europe, but then again Niji do retain the traditional Japanese stick up their business ass.

Its nice to see Delu in good mood for a change.
She seems really upbeat, playfully chatting with chat about a lot of topics, from something planned to August, to not being a very fashionable person, since she doesnt have friends nor boyfriends to hang with.

Also, shes very stubborn about not underestimating the softness of a B-cup.

Delu has a LOT of mods who speak English, weird.
Delu's YouTube mods are the same people who are in charge of her DFS Discord, who in turn are a bunch of Chuunis who - and I'm not kidding here - were so unhappy with how MASS moderators were hesitant to announce to 2,500 members that Aloe returned to her Delta account, that they made their own 'MASS Shadow Organisation' Discord server and literally tried to hold MASS moderators to ransom.

That 'Shadow Group' became DFS, so you can imagine the level of autism in charge of the server. The moderators there do not trust and actively hate each other, one of them has DM'ed Delta in the past asking what superpower she would love to have most so he can incorporate it into his new FanFic, whilst another makes long threads in their mod chat about how often they think about holding Delta's hand and listen to her breathing.

Unfortunately, they were also the first to reach out to her after Aloe's graduation, and she placed a lot of faith in them. It's hard not to say they did a good thing in the end, but the reason they're mostly English-speaking mods is because they're western Aloe tards. A couple of them are even on record for saying they wanted to support Delta in the hopes they'd be able to coerce her into returning to Aloe.

Of course, actually reaching such channels nowadays is impossible given that there's such a fuckfest of a hierarchy that even has different tiers of mod chat due to severe distrust. Delta deserves much better than what she got.

Sorry for the ramble, you just reminded me of it all!

Jojo reference, AmongUs, and fart joke as the first ever interaction with the world? Guess I don't need to add anyone to my DD hell this time around.
To be fair, assuming that Nova and Mint are indeed 2 of these 3 members, then their memey behaviour on twitter is offset by the fact that they are actually really entertaining streamers.

You can watch their L4D stream with Lyrica and Pikamee. Their synergy is very strong (which is good considering you need a strong start), I find their laughs to be contagious, and they don't fall into the VSHOJO/Nyanners pitfall of sounding high as fuck to be funny.

I don't think their Twitter cringe is reflective of their actual competence as V-Tubers, in other words. They are perhaps trying a bit too hard to compensate for the fact that their PR began on a relatively small Subreddit and for better or worse their efforts are actually paying off.

Pikamee is streaming Friday Night Funkin in 3 hours. Doubt she'll provide any clipper fuel since she can actually understand what the words mean in the game but it'll be interesting to see if she picks up on any of the NG in-jokes.

I didn’t really ever keep up with Nova and Mint, but from what I saw of them they seemed more mature/professional than the typical EN coomerbait, so they’re probably just trying hard to get engagement off the bat. Definitely thought only 3 was oddly small, so I’m looking forward to seeing what happens with the three that are being teased.

Also, since Niji is fairly lenient with what their talent does, it’ll be interesting to see how their EN group interacts with the people they used to be friends with when they were indies and vice versa. They basically have to pretend like they’re becoming friends for the first time despite knowing all of these people for months in their past lives

I don't think that'll be a problem.

I remember Nishizono Chigusa and Natsuiro Matsuri playing Clubhouse 51 despite the fact that Chigusa and Matsuri have been best friends for a WHILE and way into her past life. They actually kind of embraced the fact that everyone knew what the deal was and they were liking comments saying 'I've been waiting for this!' etc.

You have Calli and Gura who are as subtle as a sledgehammer to the face regarding their alter egos but no one really gives that much of a shit. If NijiEN interact with the Indie scene, Pikamee etc, they'll probably just not bring attention to it rather than pretend they're meeting for the first time.

While this is probably true, do they have any arguments besides the three vtubers graduating some time ago?
I found an argument for Shirogane Yui joining NijiEN: this archived /vt/ thread.
First, OP posts a screencap of the tweet where Yui announces her graduation and says "she'll still be lurking around".

Then, someone posted an older tweet where she admitted being a HoloEN reject and applying for NijiEN

And they screencapped that tweet in case she deleted it.

And indeed, she did delete it a few hours later, which would be weird to say the least if she didn't join Nijisanji. Based on this, it's also safe to assume she browses /vt/.

The actual thread:

There were other interesting screencaps in there:

She followed every HoloEN member except for the chicken (Kiara anti?):

She was pro-loli:

Watching the new Holo gaming show for FujiTV (the one with Subaru, Marine, Towa) made me remember, if I'm not mistaken, managers role in talent jimusho is more than just acting as the managers for the talents, but also as the agent looking fo gigs and such. Considering 1 manager worked for multiple talents, I think that seemed to be the case, which could explain why they feel so incompetent sometimes along with the japanese company-style red tape
