This is the most shocking thing I've seen in this thread so far tbh lmao.

Gen Lock has to be the biggest, wettest fart of a show they've ever released. Like I've seen people talk about Red vs Blue, RWBY, Camp Camp and other RT properties but I've literally never met anyone who gave a fuck about Gen Lock. Only reason anyone even knows about it is Micheal B Jordan being in it but even that didn't save it.

Not to mention it's mired in controversy since Gray got fired for stealing money from other projects to fund it. Not to mention Japan literally has the market cornered on Mecha anime and Gen Lock had nothing new to say.

Phew, a break from ripping off shoenen anime badly to ripping of mecha anime badly. They might have a small sliver of hope now the writing team has changed but its so colour-by-numbers and forgetable even the fawning RT audience aren't flipping out over the white elephant being wheeled out.

Barbara knocking it out of the park with her newest profile photo. Really nailing that soulless look.

The cocaine addicted 80s popstar is a hell of a look to try and pull off.

When RT goes down and the thot career doesn't work out in the end (definitely doesn't seem like it will at this point), she can always become one of those influencers.
She'd rather make money this way than spending 5 mins to strip down a little and take some decent candids.

Edit:
A minor step in the right direction. Expectations are low though, let's just see how it turns out next week.

The only reason I ever saw it was because Toonami aired it when a show they wanted to license got delayed or something, and I like watching trainwrecks. David Tennant was literally the only good part of the show; everything else was bland and pathetic while trying so hard to be cool. Easily the worst thing that ever got aired on Toonami.

I think I brought this up somewhere in this thread before, but it's the perfect example of exactly how generic and predictable it was. It's like the second or third episode, I forget, but it's the one where the new recruits show up to determine who else is gonna pilot the rainbow mecha. You've got a Japanese guy who speaks zero English, a lolsorandumb British cunt, a Soviet Russia bear lady (who was later revealed to be a troon I think?), and a bland generic white guy. Immediately upon seeing this group of characters, I knew instantly that the white guy was actually gonna turn out to be evil.

And wouldn't you know it

But that's just how it goes in Current Year+6. Diverse rainbow cast? Pure and noble and good. Straight white male? Completely, utterly evil.

How or why anyone thought this garbage needed a second season is beyond me. I can't imagine they made any sort of return on their initial investment (Toonami only aired it because both Cartoon Network and RT are under the same corporate umbrella these days so the license was probably zilch, and I doubt it got decent ratings), especially if they were funneling more money from elsewhere in the company to make it. Is it just a case of a new higher-up saying "this looks like something decent, unlike these random schmucks filming themselves playing video games"?

Who fucking knows? Better question, who cares? This shit will flop just as hard as the first season, assuming it even comes out.

Any ratings of Gen Lock came from being right after Dragon Ball Super.
