I can't watch her that long, but I heard her say at least four different times members wouldn't get anything extra, or it probably isn't worth it, or it's just another way to support her. Something along one of those lines.
She also said she would put her videos out early for members, but what videos, she hasn't uploaded a recorded video in weeks now. Sounded like she took a couple of buzz words she heard someone else say about membership and tried to use those to pretend she knows what she is doing.

Based on what I've been reading throughout the thread and posts on her channel, it seems to me that this is just a very disjointed donation pool, almost like a GoFundMe or a KickStarter, only she has nothing to fund (besides her eating habits) or start (besides her 'walks'). She's said in her own roundabout way that she knows the Membership isn't worth it, she doesn't really plan to put out any intricate, exclusive content, but if you like her enough, or care enough to pay to watch the exclusive parts of the trainwreck, you're welcome to join.

Her fishing for ideas in her Community Tab is just meant to give the illusion that she's attempting to do her job.

As much as well talk about her not being intelligent enough to pull something off, she has to know that this Members Only crap is going to divide her fanbase just like the Mods Only Discord. She might not be an expert manipulator, but she knows enough to make an attempt to guilt her fans into supporting her lifestyle.

YouTube is not consistent in how they demonetize creators but I feel confident in saying that before long they will be tamping down on drug-related channels and streams, and deplatforming all eating disorder glorification thinly disguised as mukbangs. It makes sense, though. If you can only afford ramen noodles for dinner, you can at least watch someone order hundreds of dollars of pizza, burgers, Red Lobster, etc. It's like ordinary people watching the Kardashians or whatever and daydreaming that they can take luxurious vacations or buy fancy clothes. (Or for that matter, watch ALR buy four of the same purse, each in a different color.)

We've kinda normalized this. If you aren't living in the lap of luxury, there's no harm in watching someone who does. Likewise, if you dream of being able to have McDonald's instead of a can of soup... well...

I don't think Chantal's subscribers like her THAT much to actually pay for her "content" when they know they can just get it elsewhere for free. I do think most are broke, and can't afford 4.99 for something frivolous like a YouTuber's membership, but I have a feeling even if they could, they wouldn't. I think KarateJoe is a good example. He is her main mod, he would FIND A WAY if he knew he was actually missing out on anything. It's a choice for a lot of these people to not pay her fee.
It's humiliating for Chantal, however she lacks self awareness, so I'm sure she's not bothered.

Not only this, but if she got 130 to pony up ($650 before a slice is taken out by YouTube), that's the big payoff. The channel is notoriously unwelcoming to newcomers, who are greeted with suspicion, sass, and out of control mods. And plenty of the 130 will de-member themselves after a month, and more will be lost to attrition after that. If this is what she expects to make up her AdSense shortfall, she is wildly optimistic. Adding a $10 and $20 tier for more nothing is not going to attract any more than her most desperate, stupid sucker-fans. And of course, she will shut it all down in a rage soon anyway, after people start complaining.

While I have no doubt that many of those "I cannot afford to support you" messages are in earnest, it's also something easy and non-confrontational to say when you just really, really don't want to give someone money. I'd say it's not even just a matter of her fans expecting something (more) in return; I'm sure many of them (of those who actually could afford it, that is) wouldn't have a problem just "supporting" her completely non-reciprocally. I think he's legit trying to crawl up Cloto's ass, and wants to be her friend. He's butthurt because she won't make him a mod, but he puts on a brave face and keeps trying. His defenses of her seem sincere, if stupid as all fuck. I don't think he's a hater in disguise, unless he is fucking brilliant, which he does not appear to be.

My favorite livestream chat member lately has been the pathetic billy finlay, a naive, gullble, autistic sad sack. He frequently alludes to being lonely and having no friends. Recently he asked in chat if someone (anyone?) would attend a carnival at a mall in Utah with him. I don't know if he has gotten his rat-badge yet. He's a trip all by himself.

She really does get people who want to be her bestie. It absolutely boggles my mind, but it is true. These are the wounded, the sick, and the stupid. And I think Sofa King is just another one.

I believe at least 75% of her audience is made up of these types of people unbeknownst to her (or Peetz). If you watch her lives, a lot of the comments are too on the nose and seem to consist of a lot of the stuff we here (and I guess Reddit...maybe FB) talk about. It flies right over her head most of the time because she's so dumb.

This is so annoying and goes to show what a cunt, who can't handle the slightest amount of criticism, Chantal is. And this is nothing new.

Two of those six replies, ss from her community post, are subscribers fucking cowering from Chantal's potential wrath.

"All said with peace and love" from a paying member, and "I'm not trying to be mean when I say this" When all they're doing is giving this lazy bitch constructive criticism, that she asked for! This might be my biggest gripe with her. Yes, these people are stupid for not seeing Chantal for who she really is.
