"Oki: Do you see yourself in 3 years making any money from online content?
Digi: Oh yeah, I only see myself making more money from this point forward."

🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

Well, after listening to this whole thing, I guess one thing about Digi has remained pretty much the same, at least compared to 2 years ago. He's still as delusional as ever, or maybe it's worse than ever before? His overall thoughts and perception about the state of the channel and the trajectory of his career is so out of touch with reality that it's almost jaw-dropping to see. No need to worry, sooner rather than later, reality is going to catch up to you, whether you like it or not.

We all know Digi never listens to whatever his audience thinks or wants, so I feel like this whole discussion was pretty pointless tbh.
It at least further cements on video how all the good faith and good will in the world is wasted like pearls before swine when it comes to that clown car crew. Oki seems like someone they have no reason to be wary about (unlike with Ben who they can't stop seething towards) and he's trying to speak with the dolts in a friendly manner with good humor as someone who watched Digi's older videos. And yet, dumb and dumber still put up their same old 6 feet thick wall of repelling pure delusion.

Delusional is spot on. Digi can barely keep a thought in his head for a few minutes of rambling before he's completely lost. Brain is fried. This guy Oki makes multiple attempts to make Digi accept basic assertions like "you need money to live the life you want" or "YouTube doesn't recommend videos if your audience won't click on most of your videos." But Digi refuses, backtracks, and makes pointless asides that don't answer anything. I'm with you I'm honestly amazed at Digi's obstinacy.

His mind is a fucking house of mirrors of narcissism. Any criticism has to be reflected against everything he's ever done on the internet. He refuses to look outside himself or his past. As much as he talks about "living in the real world" now, this video shows he won't accept the reality of his career, audience, or future prospects.

Digi argues for his old videos to die, but insists on using the same channel that's built upon the success his old videos provided. That's where most of the views are coming from: the momentum from his anituber shit. He detests his old fanbase but still needs those numbers to pad his channel out because he knows he can't cut it with a clean slate channel. He flooded his channel with non-anime shit and ramblings about how if everyone had autism we totally wouldn't have a completely dysfunctional society even worse than we do now, but shit isn't sticking because it's a totally difference audience. He was able to shift from MLP shit to anime shit because there was at first some overlap between the two audiences but, more importantly, he struck gold doing anime analysis by being the first big concise Sword Art Online-bashing video right during that show's height in popularity. He got bonus points for having decent diction, kept his dialogue to a script, and had a mic that made him sound more professional and not somebody who was trying not to wake his sleeping parents upstairs. That's how he stood out even though the subject of anime is very, very big.

You can't compare that shit to boring bum rap. How do you stand out, Digi? You don't. Take away your anime followers that you despise, and you're boring. You're boring and nothing sets you apart. Take away the people who are watching you out of morbid curiosity and you're probably down at least half as many views. But you got that little group surrounding you that tells you everything is okay, it's all part of the change, you're building anew, and you manage to convince yourself that you're not in fact burning down your own building while still in it.

"Oki: Do you see yourself in 3 years making any money from online content?
Digi: Oh yeah, I only see myself making more money from this point forward."
I should point something out from back when I used to make a shitty podcast with Cripple Jesus, Riley is just a straight up liar when he talks about money for projects, at one point he was offering to pay myself and CJ 1k a month to be "under his network". Any level of deeper thought showed at the time that, hey this sperg is about to get kicked out for not being able to pay his rent, why would he pay us to do what we already where doing for free. But grifting retards hear their might be money and jump right on with it, needless to say we never saw a cent. I think this might be what's happening with Digi, Riley is simply lying and telling him everything he wants to hear. Yeah they don't have money now but JUST YOU WAIT! next year he'll be richer than he's ever been!
Riley is like a retard con man preying on even more retarded internet wannabes, really it's only on Digi for not asking basic questions because he doesn't wanna upset his new daddy.

I think this might be what's happening with Digi, Riley is simply lying and telling him everything he wants to hear.
Riley sitting there during the discussion with Oki was almost like a cult leader move. I think Oki was too nice to just straight up say, "Your fans think these people surrounding you, especially Riley, are sucking out your soul for their own benefit." But if Riley weren't there, he might have brought up Digi's associates and how they're harming him. If Riley were smarter, I would say this was planned to prevent that discussion from occurring. But he's a retard so I really can't figure out why he was there at all other than to insert himself in every aspect of Digi's life that could possibly turn a profit.

Digi just doesn't have the talent to start from scratch and make it big. He's not Filthy Frank who can discard his whole identity and years later clueless normies are discovering his past. If he had stayed focused on his channels and projects on time he could've grown a lot more.

That 1 and a half year bullshit is just them trying to buy time until they manage to make any sort of profit/growth. "You can't make fun of us for being homeless, we have a big project in a year and a half". This is not an anime timeskip Digi, Life is not just gonna jump right into you being sucessful a year and a half from now.
Dick's, Gunt's (lol, he has fans?) and Null's fans
Digi aren't you missing someone? Like the fans of your own podcast, the PCP. You know, the whole "i'm not releasing the content i promised and now I hate my previous friends". They were all your fans and now everyone is on Ben's side.

This is probably their next destination

"We've had conversations with people we signed NDA's about, with people that
absolutely know what they're talking about, and who have been giving us a course of action and we have been taking it. And nobody will know for a year and a half... We have a road to massive success that we can't use to justify what we're doing"
So apparently they have some super-secret NDA collab planned for ONE AND A HALF YEARS in the future (maybe the Dick Show? Whoever it's with, it seems doubtful that it could revive Digi's career)
Haha, what a load of fucking bullshit.

Haha, what a load of fucking bullshit.
Yeah, no one is gonna pay upwards of 1.5 k to get people not to talk about an internet project. Also even if they did break NDA what are you gonna take from them, they have no money or assets for you to claim.

Haven't seen the OKI stream to the full extent yet, but it was painful to watch someone that is pointing out logical fallacies and giving sound advice not wanting to realize that digi won't ever take any advice unless it comes with a fat dick to suck, big money attached or a clump of wax to smoke away.

Like, when their next and only show as of yet is in Elko Nevada again and their funds are dwindling, why don't they just camp out there to conserve funds instead of spending 400+$ extra on gas, driving around the continent for basicaly nothing. For content that they could do from any other motel room, garage or whatever?

To me this infinite road trip in conjunction with digis trooning is another sign of 'running away'. Running away from responsibilities, expectations fears and problems instead of facing them. Put some retard cult like grift in the mix and you got a recipe for ultimate failure.

Hell even if digi would end up in a tent colony like skidrow, all fucked up from the streetlife, they would still brag about their 'artistic' freedom yet in reality, which they would never acknlowedge, they are trapping themselves further and further.

There is no 1.5 year silver lining, there never was. It's just a new lie cooked up by Billy at best. What's he telling Digi? that the industry is now more open towards trans artists like 100 gecs so he got a record deal on the line?

Thing is, digi would be gullible and narcissistic enough to believe it so the grift goes on. I just wonder what will happen, when reality finaly hits, as an eviction and homelessness apparently wasn't enough.

You know, I'd be a lot more supportive of Digi's music bullshit if he made any effort to actually improve. Like if he was following music theory lessons and learning how to play a keyboard while he made his shitty music, I'd think, "Well, at least he's trying to improve and really become a musician." What he's doing now is low level trash and there's no clear effort to make his music better. It's just delusional.

Billy calling everyone who disagrees or criticizes him short, poor, and parasocial is one of the largest shipments of copium the world has ever seen. He has to be trolling. There’s no way he’s not self aware at this point right?
in all my years of observing tards on the internet, Riley might be one of the least self-aware people I've ever seen. His entire worldview hinges on the delusion that he's destined to be a famous rapper, this whole RV lie was to posture their homelessness as a fun and cool rap group tour. He's so high on copium and actual drugs that he truly believes he wants to be homeless. That will not last very long, especially when Mint gets sick of living in a tiny car and runs home to her parents.

Watched the video (not the whole thing). It felt like a waste of time. This guy Oki is just too polite to point out that Conrad has destroyed everything he's worked for, and he's being exploited by dimwitted parasites, and he has no future anymore. He asks questions, but doesn't press the issue after Conrad gives his non-answers.

Riley sitting in the room, not saying much, but feigning laughter and condescension whenever he hears something he doesn't like reminds me of that video they put out a few weeks ago, where Riley pointed a camera in Conrad's face, and had Conrad explain that he wasn't being abused. This is an abuser that obsessively manages the narratives that his victim is exposed to. He is truly one of the most repulsive people I've ever encountered (physically as well). It also says a lot about Conrad that he is manipulated so successfully by a guy with an IQ at least 20 points lower than him.

The strangest thing that was said was when Conrad said he thought his channel was the same as it's always been. Analytical anime videos and sometimes self-deprecating personal content = drugs, white trash rap shows, homelessness and autogynephilia. These are the exact same things. 8)

Here's Riley brainwashing Conrad in real time: "If you don't like Conrad Beatrice Trixie destroying himself herself, you were never a core viewer."

EDIT: I just heard Riley say "We hang out with rich people. I don't like poor people."

For those who want to know why Conrad either killed off or at least discontinued his subchannels (particularly his Digibro's Turntable and Digi After Dark channels), this clip (01:19:25-01:23:13) from the last Voidgazers yesterday (Episode 8: Did I Tank my Channel??, 14 May 2021) is very illuminating in terms of what was going on in Conrad's mind, and something where Riley could likely influence Conrad's decision-making on becoming a rap artist:

There is a fair amount of mental gymnastics going on from Conrad. Right before this clip, he talked (probably his most insightful point he contributed throughout the whole episode) about how he made the vast majority of his money from Patreon, rather than from ad revenue from Youtube (as he was demonetised for most of his career) (he brings this up again, 01:45:43, how many of his fans are willing to pay him on Patreon to create anything after they watch his After Dark videos); he considers engaging with his audience via Patreon and Youtube as like 'pressing buttons'. He argues that his rap videos on his Digibro's Turntable and Digi After Dark channels were not successful enough (even though he admits songs such as "Fat and Dangerous" have over 40,000 views with a extremely healthy ratio (there is even both a nightcore video and a mashup one made by fans), and that he had to instead force his rap videos onto his core audience. Riley even claims the main channel was dying long before the Ygg Studio rebranding; at the very worst, it was stagnating, but it didn't collapse like it has done now.

Unfortunately, Oki interrupts Conrad as he continues to contradict himself about the success of his side channels, but soon after in the episode Oki does point out that fans (including himself) reacted positively and in large numbers to one of Digi's Boston videos (where he regretfully laments about the costs and situation of living there) on the Digi After Dark side-channel, not the main channel. Oki does hammer the point a bit too much with trying to convince Conrad to return his glory years (c. 2016) of being an anituber, releasing both analysis and rant videos (it's also his closing statement, 02:09:20), but he is not only right that the side-channels were getting the audience engagement they needed (contrary to what Conrad says; he just didn't put enough time and effort into them) but that his own example of releasing two high-quality, long length analysis videos a year would still be preferable to Conrad's core audience rather than forcing rap onto them.

Later in the episode (near the end, 01:51:57), Digi returns to whether or not his audience will join him (as a "person", rather than, say, a creator with a product to sell) in still subscribing to his main channel and putting up with his current rap music videos, considering them, again, having "entitlement" if they are unhappy with that. Conrad shows a very mechanical attitude towards his fans (as evident with his 'pressing buttons' analogy); while he learnt a lot about Youtube, its algorithm and Patreon, he seems he learnt nothing about his audience. They aren't unconditionally going to support him and hugbox him, they will only return to give him very generous donations on Patreon if he would release high-quality content again that they want to engage with, namely his analysis videos (and even his rants).

Conrad even points out that his Substack articles currently earn him $100s of revenue from subscribers (01:47:30). He could give up this rap career on the road today, salvage what remains of his audience by continuing to write these articles, even leaving aside Oki's excellent idea of releasing a few analysis videos a year. He could even still release rap videos (just without Bird and Billy; Mint Salad can stick around and draw her comfy work) on his Digibro's Turntable channel, if he feels like he might regret later in life that he didn't continue to try a career in being a rapper.

*Bonus Big Brain Billy moment: Billy argues that Conrad's audience only wants to watch him fight Ethan Ralph (01:57:19), and that he can "make eight more of those videos." Billy couldn't even show up on his boss's, the Prom King, stream to confront Gunt. Conrad argues that the Gunt fight video, with its current 37,000 views, will have 100,000 views by the end the year, which is ridiculous. Both Billy and Conrad argue that the Ralph video's ability to get more views than Conrad's last two lacklustre anime analyses videos (which are just rehashes of his older work) is evidence that their IP2-lite approach to entertainment content is working, to which Oki is clearly close to despair in his protestations that the Gunt video was a "circus".
