Because the mechanisms by which cells array themselves to make a person are not what gives the concept of personhood any value.How is DNA going to be irrelevant if it's because of said DNA that said cell collections are arraying themselves the way that they are?
People are deserving of rights not because they are governed by DNA on the molecular level, but because they possess the ability to consciously appreciate and exercise those rights. It is our conscious experience which ultimately defines us as people, which is precisely how we can understand that identical twins are two separate people: each has a unique identity and experience from the other.
This is a self-evident truth that you appear to be trying to explain away with nominalism, and I think you're wasting your time.
