thats my question about this thing

You don't have to update their software, there is always a suggestion/nagging that pops up but it's not mandatory. You can go years without updating and still run the 2017 version of whatever without problem. Even when updated there is sometimes a choice to run a previous version and I think you can install previous versions as well but I haven't looked into it.

Please explain this, I'm legit curious.
Sorry for the late reply as I needed to research more information and I was busy with other RL issues to offer a prompt reply.

While refusing to update the software is fine so long your computer has no issues, as @Some Badger has mentioned, the moment you have a technical issue that'll force you to reinstall your operating system and software then the option to go back to earlier versions is limited if not outright unavailable.

Download Adobe Older Apps

Notice that you are only allowed to download the version limited to the operating system of the original purchase (no cross-platform availability) and you had to previously register the app to an Adobe account before even given the option to download it. Worse it outright states that if you don't see a link then it is simply not available. You'll have to check your account and see if the option to download the 2017 version is available or not.

Setting that aside, the option to access older version of Adobe apps is available only to old license holders, there is no option to access older versions to new users. New users have to subscribe to Creative Cloud as it is at present. At the very least Celsys allows you to download older versions Clip Studio Paint without such restrictions:

Now regarding Adobe content policies there are these sections in their Terms of Service that I find more than concerning:

Adobe Legal Terms (Archive)

"2.2 Our Access to Your Content. Where permitted by law, we will only access, view, or listen to your Content (defined in section 4.1 (Content) below) in limited ways. For example, in order to perform the Services, we may need to access, view, or listen to your Content to (A) respond to Feedback or support requests; (B) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, legal, or technical issues; and (C) enforce the Terms. Our automated systems may analyze your Content using techniques such as machine learning in order to improve our Services and Software and the user experience. Learn more about the machine learning we do."

Outright they tell say that by using their "services" they are going to look at user content which should always raise red flags, it is an intrusion to privacy and a potential security risk to work that requires client confidentiality. But there is more:

"3.4 User-Generated Content. We may host user-generated content from our users. If you access our Services, you may come across user-generated content that you find offensive or upsetting. Your sole remedy is to stop viewing the content. If available, you may also click on the “Report” button to report offensive user-generated content to us."

Hosting content in their service makes you subject to have other users report your content for being "offensive" never mind the fact that offense is entirely subjective and considering we are living in the age of the outrage culture, people are always looking for stuff to be offended about.

This is a particular section that raises concern:

"6. User Conduct.
6.2 Misuse.
(I) Share any Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, obscene, violent, abusive, tortious, defamatory, libelous, vulgar, lewd, profane, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, or otherwise objectionable;"

Notice how they include "hateful or objectionable" as an misconduct and therefore a potential reason that could be used for account termination. Adobe is not to be trusted to be an impartial judge to user content when this is their current corporate culture:

If someone happens to be a Graphic Designer who uses Adobe CC and gets a client that wants a poster made with pro-conservative, traditional family messaging that denounces the LGBTQ lobby and/or is anti-BLM Marxist, should said designer be concerned that his/her account could get banned for hosting content deemed "hateful" by some Adobe AI algorithm or straight up some woke Adobe employee?

In short, by Adobe turning their tools into a recurring payment service instead of a purchasable product they have simultaneously gained the control of a service provider but also editorial power over the content of their clients. Adobe can block people from said tools at any moment and entirely at their discretion. Users don't even have to incur into a "misconduct" for this to happen, just living in the wrong place is enough.

Venezuelans BTFO

TL;DR - If you use Adobe CC, they have you by the balls.

This is almost peak diversity. Muslim woman in hijab, disabled, and applying a meaningless label to themselves. Just needs to be trans on top of it.
I've seen a hijabi with a lgqbt flag on her bag. Like, what do you even believe?

The license agreements of most software companies try to keep users at the mercy of those companies.

or you could just pirate it like normal people
From what I've heard, at a professional level, Adobe's basically made their software(s) a walled garden, where it's much easier to just use a single cloud account with all of their stuff than pirating each piece or any other option. And they've got patents on a ton of the components of their editors that other developers simply cannot emulate to the fullest extent to compete properly.

Huh. Anyway I clicked around through a bunch of pages and it seems to apply to their cloud storage, stock photo site and Behance(not a butt enlarging method, some kind of site).

"4.1 Content. ... You must not upload any Content that is prohibited by any applicable law. [then] to screen for ... keywords that indicate adult content has been posted outside of the adult wall" - there's no adult wall in the software itself. There's more like that and scanning cloud storage then send pictures of your GF's tits to be manually reviewed is unfortunately standard procedure at this point. Not that I don't believe that companies will at some point start rolling out new software with invasive functionality that rummages through everything on your computer and writing "jersh is a feeder" in notepad will let the police kick in your door because "2.4 Sensitive Personal Information means an individual’s sexual preferences".

The exception to the above is contributing to machine learning, the sharing can be turned off but machine learning itself for certain functions can not be turned off. They have also included some cloud computing functions recently so anything that goes through there will of course be collected by them. It seems like the program itself can be kept pretty tight, just don't use their cloud drive like a sucker or upload shit using your AdobeID and it should be fine.

One concern would be them putting identifiable information in PSDs but I don't think they do that.

That has to be the least nuanced rundown of Hitler's life. I mean, couldn't they have explained the events in his life that lead him to adopt his loony beliefs?
No, shut up.
Never mention what Hitler saw in Weimar Germany, the same way we never mention Marx's parasitical nature. Adobe is seconds away from terminating your account.

yeah, they totally leave out the time a demon pretended to be a jew and shitted up his paintings causing him to turn against all jews forever

Boys, they got him.
How do we truly know was cishet? Maybe the transphobia he faced by the jewish kids gave him internalized transphobia.

I mean the guy loved Hugo Boss clothing & capes so he was straight up FABULOUS 🌈.

And finally let's not forget his close relationship with confirmed gay man Ernst Rohm.
