General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I have never been to an anime convention - should I? I've heard about girls with "free hugs" signs though, a concept which I find to be quite jarring.
Anime conventions are great for picking up swag that you normally would have difficulty finding elsewhere, as well as the people watching. If you're young and single too, and also a giant weeb, that's definitely a shortcut to potentially finding a date as well. And fuck, if you're at least moderately sociable in a normal setting, you're basically the king of the nerds at that point.

Also, fanart starting to roll in already.

Used to happen back in the early 2000s, when anime cons where still quaint affairs and people were still naive about how disgusting it would be to hug random weebs. Not anymore AFAIK, at least in the bigger cons.

She did:

I have the feeling this joke will get out of hand

I remember seeing a clip where she played a game with Connor (and Mouse maybe?) where her in-game name defaulted to SydSnap and she had to play it off saying she “doesn’t know who that is”. Thought it was pretty funny and honestly the only interesting thing she’s done in 3 months.
She has streamed like 5 times. Seems like more of jumping on the bandwagon than anything else. She is not committed to it at all especially after you see clips like the one you described.

On the Ina thing, what are the odds that something actually happened to her?

Less than you would think.

How the fuck does Kiara manage to evaporate the humor out of almost any gag time and time again? I get that she's enthusiastic and might even feel like she's paying homage to her fellow members, but streams like this really make me hope that she takes some conversation courses. It's like she only has one setting and that's fine when she's talking to her cult, but when it's on max at all times, everything that she touches ends up becoming about her.

Even when it's not her who's late, Kiara hate is boiling in this thread again. I feel like the test subject for counter-contrarianism, where week after week I learn to appreciate or love Kiara based on the stupid criticism against her.
I think she does fine considering English is her worst language.
I want to like Kiara. She has her funny moments. Her type of humor does not click with me though. You're right. She's fine for what she is. However, the problem is that unfortunately I do not like what she is. I do think she can improve and I hope that I can enjoy her more if she does.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and Fubuki definitely seems like the type of person who would view it as such. Plus I don't see anything inherently wrong with members getting inspiration from eachother, look at how Ame's legs have spread so far.

I think Ame was also the first to do the whole fake reflection thing when she posted a picture of her new PC which some JP and ID members have done (Moona's attempt was a bit on the nose though admittedly).
For sure, I don't think Fubuki or any of the members mind the imitation either. They probably welcome it with open arms. The tard with the problem is me, I did not enjoy Kiara's imitation of Fubuki's gag. Improvising is not Kiara's forte. Usually, I see her bouncing off gameplay and her cult. Without anything to bounce off of Kiara ends up rambling gibberish, mimicking the behavior of a real chicken.

Barely over 1Sh late, wow. I would have never guessed Ina to be the type.

1Sh is 2 hours by the way, not 1 hour as was incorrectly mentioned.
2Sh = 1Bb or 1 Baba.
