Pro wrestling, being extremely predictable and running on conventions of established patterns, is very alluring to autistics for that very reason, look at the terrible youtube streams Phil put out dealing with his latest temporary ban all to try and keep his schedule as on track as possible for his grift after all. Adding onto that, wrestling is one of the few sporting events where you don't have to actually know anything about the sport. Most of the mainstream promotions will either just tell you what happened that's meant to be important, or those things just won't matter. Like Phil's backstory. It's also presented in a way that no other event is, so it's generally hard to compare it to anything.

There's sub-communites pretty much dedicated to cooming over female wrestlers. Unlike real sports, the main requirement for being a wrestler is moderate athleticism, so they tend to be fitness models, being attractive is almost a requirement. Though, I'm fairly sure this is more prevalent in mainstream western wrestling.
