For me at least, SJW art's main goal is a form of virtue signaling. The artists in this kind of circle draw LGBTQ characters (and different races) not just because there are such people, but to make a specific statement. They do so by almost fetishisticly drawing attention to what makes the character non-cis , non-straight and/or non-white and, in extreme cases, take white/straight/cis characters from TV-shows, movies, and the like, and turn (or rather mutate) them into caricatures of what the artist perceives as inclusive/diverse, which can become actual known stereotypes. In the process they also ignore everything that makes the character , well, a character and create a flat, cardboard cut-out to pin pride-flags on. I like to call this OC-fication since those characters the SJW create out of the canon material don't resemble in many cases said characters and are more like original characters.
As for the artist you've shown, I think they just happen to be gay. Being any sexuality other than straight doesn't make a SJW but SJW's generally are themselves members of the LGBTQ community. Also the art you show doesn't make changes to the canon characters. I still recognize Kaine as Kaine from Nier and Sypha Belnades from Netflix Castlevania. The character in the last image I don't know but I think if she's from a certain franchise fans will know her on the first glance.
Many people on here post often ugly art, since many SJW don't care about improvement or quality as long as they can force their opinion down someones else throat. But bad art doesn't make SJWs as much as the artist being, for example, gay.
