I'm pretty sure Mint is Pomu, even on her debut there were emotionspergs 'crying' and saying 'okaeri' when she rolled up, with some comments just flat-out saying 'Maid Mint'. I didn't watch too much of her, but if Mint fans are convinced it's her then there's no inherent reason to distrust them.

Don't know who the fuck though Aadya would come back, though. That would be a PR nightmare.

I do the first two but considering the only social media accounts I had before doing anything were a hardly active Twitter account and a locked down Facebook account, all I did was change the name and avatar on my main twitter account. A bunch of people do the same but they tend to be pretty soapboxy on their persona twitters (or they just didn't bother to make an RL account.)

One thing I honestly can't stand (and a few of my friends feel the same) is a trend in indie circles to do "icon vs owner." Pretty sure it died down but it was people doing side by side pictures of themselves with their avatars. The whole point of the vtuber thing is we don't give a fuck about your face so why destroy the illusion by doing reveals? Naturally, I also participated by posting art my friend commissioned of the two of us as a fucking joke.

Mousey has an update / new costume coming to her older 2d model on it's way, but who knows how much it'll change, but her having a different artist for every new one doesn't really help her look stay very consistent either.

Y'all are acting like I fucking died or something. I've just been extraordinarily busy between a day job, my side streaming, and running a Discord so I haven't had much time to visit.

I'd like to ask something if you don't mind. A while back we were discussing the role of management in Cover/others, and what they even do as their job. I know you're not with an agency, but as a vtuber yourself: What's your workflow like? If you had a manager, what would they do for you?

I'm pretty sure it's the same as any other streamer, I guess. Thing is I'm too small to worry about that and not talented enough to do some of the other stuff that the agency people do. My workflow is literally just turning on the stream and making sure shit runs. If it's the first time playing a game I spend a bit of time setting things up to make sure the sound is fine, and my filter works. In my off time I make a schedule based around what I know is coming to a conclusion so I can plan ahead a bit. For example, I know I have maybe 10-15 hours left of Nier Replicant to get through so I'm already planning on what's going to replace that (more than likely it'll be SMT III Featuring Dante From The Devil May Cry Series.) Once I start a game and get into the swing of it, I usually check sites like How Long To Beat so I can start planning around how many times I see myself playing things. I also get in contact with partners to see if they'd be up for collabs.

The idea of collabing as an indie is literally just sliding into someone's DM's and asking them if they wanna join you for something. Most times people have approached me for stuff instead of the other way around, and I usually reserve weekends for either breaks or working with other streamers. I've wanted to do some other stuff like free talk streams or karaoke (mostly rapping to Calli because of course I would) but I don't have the traction to make those kinds of streams work. Same thing with readings since one of my passions is writing and I would like to encourage my audience to write things that I could read.

Now, assuming I had an audience and a manager, I would mostly have them worry about curation on the content side of things. They'd be the one making sure my archives get metatagged and thumbnailed properly (because I don't do that shit myself, I just offload a stream onto YT as a simple export without even so much as a thumbnail edit) and they'd also probably help me with more elaborate stuff like karaoke stream setlists and possible collabs to at least act as a go-between if I was too busy to do stuff myself. They might help somewhat with schedule management but because I'm incredibly consistent with that I'd more or less just ask them to keep abreast of trending topics and games so I could capitalize on stuff if I so choose. I know most career streamers have to chase that new release window otherwise they fall into obscurity, which is why I'm expecting a bunch of people who aren't familiar with Megaten at all to jump into it while I've been waiting for the remake since it was announced.

I'd also probably run some of my other weirder ideas by them to see if they would work. Remember Calli's Persona 3 Begathon? That was probably run by J-Chad before she even did anything to see if it was okay. In my case I would do the same for shit I have planned out well in advance, like playing a Journalist Difficulty run of DMC5 as part of a Father's Day celebration.

One final thing I'd use the manager for is budgeting and offstream time management. If by some fucking miracle I can quit my day job and become a fulltime streamer, I'd basically have them help me manage a budget for things like artwork commissions I plan on using in addition to working out things like scheduling vocal or instrument lessons since I'd want to incorporate covers of music (or even original music) into my content.

Granted, it sounds more like they'd be a personal assistant but I don't really see that much of a difference between the two; with Hololive I feel that the managers' duty is to the company first rather than the talent while with a PA the duty would be to the talent. Same role, just the hat's on a bit different.

Regardless of my autistic disdain for the chicken, I still want her to do well because that means Cover does well and that prolongs my main avenue of entertainment. I've fallen too deep and am now a parasocial drone.

It's been a while since I watched holostars and amongus is meh. Doesn't matter, I mostly watch them for their interactions not the game itself and fuck me if they don't deliver. This translation is a bit hard to follow with text all over the place, but I feel it showcases that the small size of Holostars really benefits them here where you can see how well they mesh with each other. Just wish I knew some nihingonese.

I once took acting myself for a short while, and I suspect this might be their method to keep being in character, and but also to prevent them went too deep with their acting

Indonesian customs is weird. Sometimes they're lazy and ask for bribe, but sometimes as well they went full diligent and went by the book and ask for actual taxes. Its pretty weird
