Southpaw argued with Fringy and then backed off.

I've heard him use the 'Discourse is how arguments are refined' excuse before.

Speaking of DC, is there any word about the next DCEU mini? It's been about a month since the Suicide Squad one, and with the current rate of at least one a month I feel like Mauler would be making noise about the next one by now, you think they got sidetracked by RE8 and Falcon/Winter soldier, or do you think even they realized they don't want to sit through the whole DCEU catalogue?
Well they did both WW films plus both JLs. Both Mos and BvS. I mean all this left is Shazam, Aquaman and the Birds of Prey film. Maybe Joker but that film is flawless according to Mauler

Implying Mauler has actually watched most of these (I do remember some people in this thread saying he did talk about The Lighthouse and that he thought it was boring).
Well, they're wrong. The Lighthouse is one of the EFAP trio's favorite movies. It is their go-to when accused of only liking superhero movies.

Here is the thing I find funny about Last Jedi. The arguments over Holdo and Poe who was right and who was wrong. It actually gets military people involved. Fandom Menace bringing military expertise giving their opinion on this matter. Holdo is a bad commander because this would not happen in US military. I'm just thinking to myself, this is a film with magic, spaceships and robots plus aliens. It's not Battlestar Galactica. Plus the whole commander seems like idiot but redeems themselves at end is a trope as old as time. BSG used it to allow Apollo be commander of Pegusus.

The issue is more nuanced than 'Holdo bad' even though she really is. The larger picture is that her character is inconsistent, obviously a vehicle for politics, and makes no logical sense in the story as it is. There isn't a trope to fulfill here, no redemption for her, she's just a puppet that does what the script calls for so the story can continue and parrots whatever the writer wants.

Go watch Crimson Tide if you want to see a conflict between a commander and their crew written and acted well.

Speaking of EFAP Movies:
I honestly think they have lost interest.
Damn, way to strike while the irons lukewarm. But them moving on from DCEU isn't that surprising, the Suicide Squad mini had very low energy, the only thing I remember from it was that they kept a running tally of the licensed songs the movie used, but other than that, it seemed like they were losing steam on the DCEU.

Also the revelation that she actually did have a plan was a frustrating, phony and asinine way to teach Poe a lesson. We end up sympathizing with Poe because he was trying to save the Resistance from annihilation and he's just shit on for it.

not surprised they think every movie sucks if they watch them like this, talking over eachother all the time. Who the fuck watches movies like this.

btw, I will say that these 2 movies here are not that good, but still, theres no way I could watch something for the first time when theres 10 people talking all the time.

Das even mentions he had never seen the original Mortal Kombat movie, and that this was his first time seeing it, and what a way to watch it, with several people talking over every other line and then unironically asking what's going on and why certain things are happening.

They need much less viewers than what they had. they should limit it to five. Talking during the movie is the point of the video, but when there are 10 people it becomes counterproductive.

Seems we were wrong. they still are making a video on Aquaman. An Unbridled of all things. I can already hear the forced laughter.
EDIT:

This whole Nolan Trilogy ordeal is revealing to me that part of the reason SouthPaw is so insufferable is that he s being enabled by the people around him, who are just as insufferable as he is.

He's starting to sound like the people who get obsessed with a certain number and starts seeing patterns and clues to it everywhere. What a one trick pony.

Here it is...
I promised I'd watch this, but I have to wait until I have six hours to waste. Hopefully copyright doesn't pull it down before then.

I haven't watched it but doctor who is a huge tv franchise, with numerous show runners and periods, that Jay is seemingly passionate about, it's totally possible to make a video of such length without devolving into Mauler levels of redundancy and silliness but I'll need to watch it to see.

That's what I'm hoping. The worst I can expect is cringy jokes and political tangents (which is guess is a bit warranted, since the show is basically just that), or it goes episode by episode for multiple seasons and overstays its welcome. I'm just curious how it's going to be structured. The thing I hated the most about the Snyder Cut Unbridled was that it constantly jumped around.
