Yes, that's already in chapter 2 as far as I remember. Paglia claimed that the ancient Egyptian culture was the only one that ever was able to bring the chthonian (femaleness, nature, chaos, daemonic etc.) and the apollonian (maleness, civilization, form etc.) into harmony to produce one of the most aesthetic pleasing culture that ever existed. And according to her it was the Egyptians who transformed femaleness to a more refined femininity that was later borrowed from other cultures like the Minoans (Middle Eastern ancestors of the Greece before they mixed with the Yamnaya who invaded Europe the mixture of ancient Greek populations and Yamnaya led to the more ancient apolonian Greeks that we're today familiar with). To give an example of what she means:
View attachment 2187740 The Venus of Willendorf as an example. According to Paglia this is womanhood as pure nature and chaos. Also the devouring mother who gives life but takes it brutally away (the same way nature allows us to grow crops but can kill us in uncountable different ways like poisonous animals and environmental hazards).
View attachment 2187751 Nefertiti as an example of refined womanhood => femininity. Instead of having the body of a fat acceptance activist like the Venus of Willendorf, we see a woman that represents womanhood in its refined form, in a way a mixture of chthonian and apollonian.
And wasn't she vindicated about her comments about troonerism? Mind that Paglia doesn't mean that people who are gender non-conform cause the collapse of civlization. She calls gay men (who are by definition gender non-conforming) the guardians of masculinity since they tend to appreciate masculinity more than women themselves. She also has no problems with people who use their non-conformity in a productive matter and produce good art. But in her opinion a culture that is obsessed with sex and sexuality and isn't transformed in some form into art is a culture that is on the verge of collapse. In other words: gender non-conformity and homosexual behaviour is okay, as long as it remains a tolerated deviation in a civlization, but it should never be idealized or even thought as something that all people should indulge in. Five years ago I also thought that she went a bit too far with her transgender comments. But in 2021?

How the fuck have Muslims not conquered the UK yet? Even I already wondered if I should become politically heterosexual just to give some push back.
And terves (who are mostly second wave feminists) can't deny that they played a vital role in mindlessly destroying femininity and especially masculinity. They still haven't learnt their lesson and accuse the barely or non-existing patriarchy for trannies. Who was it again that complained for more than 50 years now that masculinity is in its entirety toxic and should be eliminated? Was it Dworkin or Steinem who called masculinity a disease that has to be cured? Now they got what they actually wanted: men denying their own manhood and pretending to be women. Too bad that contrary to most feminist theories sex is a biological reality and most of these castrated men still behave like predatory males who've never had to learn to control their impulses. And yes, almost all transsexuals are sex-obsessed and often prone to rape somebody.
Paglia sees sexual dynamics as the core of civilization and the more I think about it, the more I agree with her. Maybe as an actually androgynous lesbian she was able to see sexual dynamics from a more distanced perspective than other feminists.
Messing with sexual dynamics, especially in the last 10 years, will have long-lasting consequences and people like Nyk can applaud themselves for bringing us a step closer to civilizational collapse.
Even today the internet is filled with gay porn in which straight men get seduced. It's funny how modern-day gay men want to deny that they wish to get attention from straight men. I can speak for myself: I always feel more flatterd by compliments from straight men than from other gay men or women. This is also why Paglia thinks that gay men are (were) the preservers of the masculine ideal: Gay men idolize straight men so much that they have a greater appreciation for masculinity than women themselves who have rather the desire to turn men into their sons. Nowadays gay activists want to deny this, but porn doesn't lie. I also understand why gays today aren't as fond of straight men as in the past, since most straight men today have been to some degree or completely castrated.
Do you think so? I still think that Nyk is a bit more self-aware of the damage he has done than other troons and considers Ollie to be his Frankenstein monster.
