These stupid gay indie games dont deserve more recognition because they already have enough. Most of the time they get to the highest average review score thanks to gay tranny circlejerks on itch.io, especially visual novels. Speaking VNs the artwork for most of them is awful and the people who make them should feel bad.
The alphabeticals have really over saturated the indie scene. Yet they still complain it's not enough. Please buy #woke LGBTVC15 dating sim no. 5334 because we need more representation.
It's all low effort VNs and RPG Maker stuff for the most part. And you can make decent experiences out of Ren'py and RPG Maker. But so many of these are low effort trash where the only draw is how gay and/or trans you can be with hideously drawn potential partners.
If you look at something like ValiDate, most of the characters are dressed in the dark nightmares with unappealing quirks. No one can be normal. Are there any games like this where the characters are gay and they have a relationship but it's not "OMG GAY!" and they are just normal people?
It's funny how Andromeda got much deserved flack for that "Have I told you I'm trans today" character. But the unending legion of alphabet games pretty much does the same thing and the feeling that it's fetishization is a lot stronger. It's like every one of these games takes place in gay trans world unless someone needs the ocassional ciscum to bash them for feels points.
