Some drama or some shit about people who upload German songs.

A TLDR of it is that some German language YouTubers uploading German songs are apparently lying or faking song histories or some shit, idgaf. I use some of these channels as background noise sometimes and know for a fact any lying they do do is because you YouTube's gay autoban on any song in the German language.

The issue is that these people think the uploaders are closeted Nazis/wehrbs/kaiserboos; as is their audience. Interestingly enough not everyone in the comments thinks these songs need banned, on the contrary in fact, which is a surprise to me. The whole sub reeks of the anti-wehraboo circlejerk that should've died in the 10s when that shit pretty much died. ALso a lot of it seems to be Reddit experts huffing each other's farts overall. They have good takes on pop history channels however.

Oh lol, that subreddit is basically the equivalent of a containment thread set up by the mods of r/MMA so that all of the autism from politics and statements made by MMA fighters (surprise, most of them are from poor backgrounds and tend to lean right) can be put elsewhere. While I find the poster itself comes off too strong I do at least like the fact that they made it clear it's for the people that are giving staff a hard time. It probably depends on the place, but where I am places would politely ask people to wear a mask though they couldn't deny service to those that didn't have one. Most people when asked would realize they hadn't put theirs's on and quickly do so with a chuckle, but there were always some that didn't (for various reason though they'd just do their shopping and leave like normal) and among those were the ones that had meltdowns similar to children at the fact someone dared ask them. In most cases retail workers don't give a single fuck if someone isn't wearing a mask because they aren't paid enough to care, yet because they are required to ask they'll usually face the brunt of abuse from those kinds of people. It's nice to know that at least at that place management seems to have the staffs back when dealing with those kinds of assholes.

Will say though, requiring masks is a bit weird if they've already been given the go ahead by local governments that it's no longer required. I can see being hesitant to fully go back if they've been getting a lot of conflicting information from those in charge on what they should be doing, not sure if that's the case where that bar is.

You can almost always blame colonialism, slavery, or white supremacy (tm) in situations where their world view might be challenged. Ideally, you’d use all three.

To be fair, it may not be old colonialism, but a ton of the homophobia-rich-Christianity has roots in modern missionary groups. Africa was filled with homophobia before that, but every evangelical and his mother who has a wannabe stripmall megachurch sends groups over to African countries to prosthelytize for their own versions of Jesus, which, incidentally before 2010, usually was into the gays eating your poo poo.

The fuckers do remove songs, even songs which are anti-war. This is a problem, Germany is a major European country and shouldn't have their entire history dictated to them by unqualified office staff. They have an extremely strict NDA system to mask this fact, but it's visible if you've ever spoken to any of their staff members for any extended period. Google is one of the largest companies in the world and shouldn't be penny-pinching like this - these are difficult jobs with a lot of specialty knowledge required - they are not the sort of job you should be barely paying your rent with.

You can't just expect someone else to completely change their diet for your sake, especially when it's driven more by ideology rather than actual health benefits. Ex Cathedrica is another channel which uploads primarily Catholic or Catholic related songs and gets similar flak as the channel owner used to operate a channel which uploaded songs from fascist states. Redditors apparently lack the mental capacities to have any thought beyond "Oh this guy uploaded bass boosted Erika to some tank footage, must be a Nazi/wehraboo/germanophile/racist." while not doing that for a Katyusha video of the same style.

He sounds like a teenager. I remember that young naivety where you thought you could convince people, especially adults, of political positions when you know next to nothing yourself. When you realize it's extremely hard and they have some things to teach you, you either learn something or you dig your heels in and throw a tantrum (on reddit in this case). Some people never leave this stage of development and their entire political belief system grows around resent that other people have different opinions and experiences. Maybe it is inhumane to eat meat in a system where animals are slaughtered by machinery, but it's impossible for a human to be healthy while not eating meat unless you take in other sources. Plants produced in those same factory farms are especially unhealthy because of all the shit they spray to protect them from pests and make them grow in dead soil.
