I agree with you that you don't behave like that if you're in a good place or in a place of confidence, but I strongly disagree that she's not living her best life. She is. This is the best she's ever going to get. I don't think this is Chantal's 'best life'. It's been a steady descent for her over the course of her YouTube life. I absolutely think Chantal hit her peak a few years before she began her YT channel - around the time she met Bibi. She was still grossly overweight (something like 300 lbs and that makes all her current weight loss sus because I don't really believe she's only 50 lbs from her early Bibi days weight ... she looks fatter today than when her channel started), but she had a job, a new romance that I don't doubt was pretty solid in those early days and likely some level of friends. Dare I say, at least compared to now, Chantal was kind of living a normal life.

And then she lost that job as an administrative assistant. She started her channel, gained a shit-ton of more weight. Slowly began losing her mind. Broke up with Bibi. Moved back in with Peetz ... and is now vying for the attention of a meth addict.

I think Chantal realizes Bibi was the best, and only good thing, that has ever happened to her and she doesn't have that anymore.

She HATED working though. I think she honestly believes she's more fulfilled sitting on her ass eating for the internet. I agree about Bibi, but if keeping him meant, in part, holding a job, then he might not have been worth it to her. She misses him but not enough to reflect on why she lost him-- maybe if she had kept normal employment, maybe if she had stayed a svelte 300 pounds and didn't need to ditch her uterus, etc. She doesn't see the need to change, she just wants what she wants, which means a man/Bibi back.

But she's waaaay happier not having a job, or friends. She has her internet echo chamber which always encourages her to follow her base instincts and, apparently, generates enough income for her to stuff her face, which is the most important thing to her.

So there's Chantal's best life in the objective sense, the one where she is the healthiest she could be (300 pounds and still ambulatory and menstruating) and could hold a job and relationships. Then there's Chantal's best life in her subjective sense, where she believes herself to be fulfilled and happy, which is what we're seeing.

Fucking tragic either way.

I think that's the enigma that is Chantal. She might enjoy being a lazy pig but I also think she is miserable doing it - at least deep down where she hides those feelings with all the food she can stuff down her own gullet.

Don't take this as the absolute truth (as with everything else) but I think she mention a few childhood things in here.

I’ve come to have such an increasing dislike and distrust of her that I would be more inclined to believe people who knew her when way more than I would take her word for gospel. We all know she writes scripts that she feels will gain her sympathy and some sort of hall pass from the thousands who become ultimately disgusted by her behavior and at this point I question her mental health and food issue claims, I feel like she did just enough research to give her what she feels looks like legit excuses for her inconsistency and failure. I think she’s perfectly normal with a severe case of narcissism and laziness and I’m pretty sure there are no meds for either . Get a real job and an actual purpose Chantal. She used to be somewhat entertaining.

It never fails to amaze me to see the difference between how wide a normal jaw is and how shrunk hers look.
When I first startet watching her I always thought that the fat in her face just makes it look disproportionate but thanks to mad paint skills I can see the actual problem.
