Okay, so the CDC recommends you get jabbed even if you've already been infected because they don't know how long natural immunity lasts. So what, are we supposed to believe that a vaccine gives longer-lasting immunity? How would they even know that at this point. And considering how the rat fuck Fauci is already claiming that you'll need boosters from now until the end of time, doesn't that mean that the all-powerful vaccines don't actually confer immunity for longer?

My county tracks the big variants and somehow, shockingly, no hospitalizations and no deaths from the Brazilian variant since October.

Consider this another step in the balkanization of the US. When I read sadposts from people here about how their friends, families, coworkers, employers, and basically everyone they know is on the virus hype train, I can't even comprehend their position enough to empathize, my experience has been so different.

While I am no longer involved in office work or other headache inducing corporate social hierarchies, I've still interacted with and continue to interact with a large number of people from a broad spectrum of society. I have basically never heard someone go so hard on pro-virus propaganda. Not a co-worker, not a family member (even those affected somewhat severely by CVOID), not a friend, not even a passing acquaintance. Most of the people I've interacted with in the past year or so haven't even brought the subject up.

I had a discussion with a bouncer one time who was pretty gay about the topic, citing muh variants and reinfections (sorry bro, you'll have to do better than "I heard about it on TV") as a reason for sustained security theater. Still, he stopped short of the sorts of quasi-religious sentiments that people mention here.

Anyways I'm sure that there are segments of the population here that go about parroting globohomo agitprop, but that only enforces the balkanization argument. The breakup of society we're seeing isn't even along regional or religious lines. I have the same reasoning as Paul. I have been infected with Covid... twice. The second time -nearly killed me-. All a vaccine does is trigger the immune system to fight the disease and gain natural immunity. If I would get infected now, I would equally have gotten infected if I got the vaccine.

No it doesn't. If you receive any of these vaccines you are not producing antibodies against Covid, you are producing spike protein antibodies, which are not the same thing.

Do these spike protein antibodies afford some protection against severe disease? Maybe, but they certainly do not produce a sterilizing immunity, and none of the drug companies making the vaccines claim they do.

Natural immunity is a real thing. Yes after you catch a Coronavirus B-cell immune response may fade with time, but more likely people will be exposed to a variant of the virus causing infection, but even then T-cell immunity remains and usually re-infection will be less severe.

In your case you've either been very unlucky or your initial Covid diagnosis was a false positive. Either way natural immunity is far superior to any of the mRNA not vaccines. Anyone who gets vaccinated when they already have Covid antibodies is straight up retarded.

It was either two separate strains, or just the fact that due to a tattered lung I am susceptible to respiratory infections. Either one really, unlucky is the name of the game for me and illness.

Still, thanks for the informative nature on this! Though I thought a couple of the vaccines were running off the idea of using weakened or dead variants to create immunity, are those substantively different to natural immunity? I know the ones like Moderna are absolutely batshit.
