The fact that saying "up to 80% of men receive no attention from women" isn't setting off alarms somewhere is worrisome.
It reminds me of a comedy sketch, I think it was Chris Rock. "Women can't go backwards in lifestyle with guys they date. The first guy she dates that has a car sets the standard. She's never going to date a guy who doesn't drive again. First guy with his own apartment does the same. When she finds a guy who earns 70k a year, most of you guys are fucked, she'll never even look at you."
I didn't believe it until I started working with college kids..... I regularly see guys that in my youth would've been the cool, popular guys receiving subzero levels of interest from the women in the class. It's tough at this school, though, since it's a party zone. The women really turn their nose up at anyone who doesn't uphold an (apparently) high standard of living.
When I talk to the girls (granted, we don't have a whole lot of them in our program, maybe 1: 6 ratio) about what they need to steady date someone, they want him to have a job that makes their friends jealous, with a salary in the $100k+ range.
They take everything online as total truth, so we're seeing 17-19 yo girls thinking it's totally feasible to be a 23 year old douchebag rocking a custom-painted murcielago (fully insured no less!) . I've been told "anyone can have a lambo before they're twenty five, you just gotta be on your grind." I guess that means slinging drugs?
I think there is also this weird thing where hookup culture has given women this false notion that in another time/place the guys they are hooking up with would actually marry them whereas the reality is that these guys are often lowering their standards considerably just to get a night of easy sex.
It's kinda the flip side to male simps
Male simps give attention but get no sex.
Female simps give sex but get no attention.
These girls literally think they're interchangeable with men. They're in a more male-ish major, but still, they think they're going to find an equivalent male to date after they've had their fill of no-strings sex with exotic beefcakes all over the world on company dime. They think they can just chill with the guys and play "wingman" so, as one girl put it "we can all get our dicks wet". It's sad that we don't teach kids to think critically anymore. So much damage could be averted if any of them regularly asked themselves if they're
actually having fun, or feeling true joy out of life. Instead, I seem to see a trend where they imitate the dudes they want the most, which the guys do in inverse. They'll take on all the attributes of their dream woman only to wonder why the hoes don't queue up for the sweet, affable, submissive, domesticated fella. I don't get the impression they feel any real joy in their hard from larping as Don Draper.
Whatever the case, the cake we're bakin' sure is interesting. The guys seem a lot more well equipped to deal with solitude forever, even enjoying it. The girls however, well.... they firmly believe they'll always have a shelf full of spare dudes as backup, should she ever start to feel antsy about those pangs of loneliness-that is, if her SSRI's wear off long enough for her to feel
anything.
Anyways, back to Dax. Is there a reason that all the normal, relatively well-adjusted people bailed on his show? Kinda assumed it's just the natural lifecycle of an internet media, where relations are strained after a few years and the most intense fans tend to cycle out and disappear, leaving only the washed up flotsam too heavy (or fat) to be swept back out to sea when the tide comes in.
I'm really getting tired of the "grumpy old man thinks the world will do just fine if everyone lives for sex, drugs, hedonism, and no one makes you feel bad for being shitty so quit being judgemental spergs" show. I'm just not excited to have a cavalcade of perverts, diddlers, trannies, autoGynes, and bespoke pronouners laying their minefield of offenses and pretend to be entertaining. I have a morbid fascination with the banana clips at least, and the WATP stuff is good, but Dick's takes are getting a bit big in the britches. I mean, the guy's not really an example of dream living, dating maddox's girl isn't a win if you just live forever in weird, childless, bacchanalian hedonism in the worst city on earth.
I sense whisps of Tom Leykis in there, in that it's a guy who'll keep pretending he's living the playboy cocksman life he did in his 20's, while getting fatter, older, and less willing to put in the effort to be the
charming type of asshole, and more the hole.
Sorry it's long winded, this demographic shift is really interesting to see in real time, because whenever I mention it to people they act like it doesn't exist. They think that everyone'll just settle right into neat, orderly families before society has any ill effects from a shame-free, post truth society based entirely on personal pleasure and immediate gratification. Even when we polled students, the old timers shrugged it off with "well, you losers need to go out and get some pussy then, bunch of chumps! It's not hard!"
