Cover does indeed have a history of being thorough with this kind of thing. Like, there was more than a month of Gura talking about FNF before she actually sat down and played it, despite the game being 100% free on Newgrounds. Someone on /vt/ claimed Cover got *offered* permissions to Genshin prior to the Taiwan arc and they were subsequently taken away. While I can’t find an official statement on this, it tracks with the MuseDash ban issued by the publisher, which coincidentally also did not get a western-facing press announcement.

VSinger and EN2 are in the oven, more than likely Cover is scaling EN support from ID levels to JP. If there is but one injustice in the world, it’s that Gura does not have her own manager a la J-Chad.

Nyanners don’t have to force collab with Holo or Niji since she already in a pretty good position, and she surround herself with lesser individuals or immature in order to make her shine even more.

At worst she'll (and I think she should) be punished in some form by VShojo.

I mean its okay enough to double down when she's on indie. But doing that while still in the group is dumb since she basically also drags down her VTuber mates and open up the floodgates of slander towards entire VShojo, and it'll going to be nasty, I tell you.

Also while on this subject, I think either corpo or Indie is irrelevant to how much political they are. I get the vibe that people forgets about the woke corpos, and its scarier than some indie nobody doing the same.

Most of the time its the upbringing from where you live that will effect on how they sperg about politics than whatever you're corpo or not. There's a reason why people are sceptical about the ENVtuber rise, because someday it will happen and wreck the scene as a whole. (East) Asians just hates political talk in general, full stop.

After how hard they got slapped by nintendo and other game companies, I can't really fault them. Mio having to stop streaming for 1 month due to capcom shenanigans also must have instilled quite a bit of fear into cover.
