That convalescent plasma thing from the other day is still bugging me. I keep seeing the claim "debunked" but as has already been pointed out, those articles are debunking strawmen. The claim about convalescent plasma still stands and I have many questions.

Like: How well did this work? Is it still working? Is it still being used? Is it still needed? If most people get vaccinated, then will there be a shortage? Is it all by design?

To absolutely no one's surprise, hospitalizations are "spiking" and we're most likely going to lock down again.

Meanwhile, some people protested outside of a high school trying to get kids not to take the vaccine. My family thinks the vaccine is safe and effective and see this as bullying the kids. If asked why hospitalizations are spiking and we're probably going to lock down again if the vaccine is so effective, they'd blame it on those dang dirty anti-vaxxers not getting the vaccine. If more people did do as they're told, we wouldn't have to lock down again!

Goddammit, I'm starting to wonder if these people I loved and trusted my whole life would send me off to jail or quarantine camp if they knew how I really felt. (:_(

Remember the doctors who came out at the beginning of Covid, speaking of safe and effective treatments such as hydroxychloroquine?

This same group of doctors has been advocating for medical freedom ever since the pandemic started.

And now, they are standing up for America’s children.

This group is called America’s Frontline Doctors, founded by Dr. Simone Gold.

Currently, America’s Frontline Doctors are fighting for the experimental emergency use Covid vaccines to NOT be used in children under 16.

They sued the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), hoping to prevent the expansion of the emergency use authorization of Covid vaccines to children.

The doctors note how the Covid survival rate for those under 20 is 99.997%.

With so much unknown about the vaccine’s safety, the data just doesn’t add up to give this shot to the healthy and young population.

One good point the lawsuit brings up is that there isn’t enough reliable data to see what is really happening with the side effects.

Even though the reported side effects are bad enough, the question lingers: how many more side effects or deaths go unreported?

Another point the attorney makes is that informed consent is not being given.

The last I heard is that convalescent plasma is no longer being used because it didn't work as well as they'd hoped--it largely made no difference. There is also some thought that this may be what caused the variants.

I dunno, I'm not a medfag, just an autist who likes to read about infectious diseases. Side effects tend to be worse if you've already had COVID, so I imagine for most people it's simply the body mounting an intense immune response. As for the more serious side effects, it looks like the issue is not about antibodies or immunity per se, but the spike protein causing cellular damage.

Here's the paper that claims to have solved why the adenovirus vector vaccines cause blood clots. TL;DR the spike protein.
