Instead of the stories happening while the parents hang out, I assume she'll be dumping her kids on the Pickles. OG rugrats had nontraditional families that bucked gender norms already. Yeah from what I recall Rugrats was a pretty funny, smart satirical show, poop jokes aside. Chucky was raised by a single dad which you didn't see often in cartoons let alone on TV, and he was a neurotic guy but clearly caring and the show sort of hammered that home. Angelica's mom was a badass CEO who hilariously wanted her to eat and breathe anti-patriarchal nonsense....which ironically made Angela into a huge brat with an enabling father.

The depictions of the harried, confused parents were pretty damn funny, as were I remember a lot of these '80s-'90s kids shows being in terms of social commentary.

It's a shame everything has to be rebooted and restyled to appease Gen Z wokesters and bitter Millennials.

Interestingly, Gossip Girl is also getting a Woke reboot. If memory serves, it's based on a snarky, satirical YA series that basically lampoons entitled trust fund rich kid lifestyles and makes them look like utter assholes. The CW adaptation was more soap opera, but from what I saw, managed to also poke fun at how awful these kids are. The marketing for the show was also very focused on scandal, sex, drugs, and "you won't believe your kids watch this!!!"

Though of course, there's a reboot with POC, since one of the critiques at the time was that the cast was too white (I always thought that was the point since they're a bunch of Upper East Side trust fund assholes, but alas).

My own, no-joke question though...
...why are First Peoples suffering no matter what others do? I mean, we see a lot from shutting down oil pipelines to literally bowing down to them in apologies, yet store and medicine prices are astronomical while they lack access to utilities. This happens whether in the United States of America, Canada, and even Australia. There has to be more than 'system(at)ic racism' or 'social justice warriors only care about performance'.
