I own a cheap aluminium bike and I ride it when it's warm and I want to get some exercise. I've never owned and don't want to own any of the expensive crap that cyclists seem to love. I've also never written to local councils demanding special bike lanes in every road just so that I can ride down an A road at 15mph to own those dang, dirty motoriats.

There's a difference between cyclists and people who own bikes. The first are intolerable, the second less so.

Nothing will piss you off more than seeing these pricks in a Southern city riding where you don't even have a bike lane. They could have the whole sidewalk to themselves at 5 AM but these fucks insist on hogging the damn road.

Same reason, we had 4 cats at one point and the alpha male of the cats would mount both of the female cats we had AND the other male, despite being neutered. All about dominance.

There's a species of lizard or gecko that reproduces entirely asexually and they're all female. They did this with hobby shops too, I know of at least 2 where they removed most of the aircraft and car kits - which require at least a moderate level of skill to build - with ready-made funkos. Hobby shops used to be dad stores, full of kits, paints, scale wood, other supplies but the ones that haven't closed are increasingly turning into man-child shopettes as nerds have no interest in actually building things anymore.

This is happening because the people interested in model kits just order them online. Better selection, convenient, sometimes better prices. This has been going on for about a decade.

You're right in part, but something else happened before that - the generation that grew up building scale model train layouts, planes, etc started to die off. Particularly the model train types. I started noticing it in the late 90s, but it really accelerated after the early aughts. I don't think millennials ever cared about building things as much as boomers and older generations did. So now, those that are interested largely abandoned the already dying hobby shop supply stores.

I don't think I want to buy laundry detergent from a dude that depressed about cleaning his clothes.

That one actually makes sense. The character is a professional psychopath obsessed with domestic cleanliness. Literally the only thing you ever see him doing outside of his job (besides flashbacks) is dressing in that pictured cleaners' outfit and cleaning, or forcing other characters who are terrified of him to clean, or criticising their cleaning and punishing them for not cleaning well enough. He's not depressed, he just takes it very seriously, which must be why he prefers Tide brand detergent: the efficient killer's choice.

Anyone who is a millennial/Gen Z that builds model trains/ships/planes I really feel for them.

One other big reason for the decline of model trains is that fewer people own their own homes than they used to. More people are renters, and many don't have a basement or attic to devote to layout space. One source some friends and I use to pick up used brass trains and parts for cheap are estate sales - by and large, these deceased men's children aren't interested in the stuff, and are quick to sell them all at fire sale prices (often not knowing their value).
