Netflix is about to rape the Sandman

I really feel like at this rate there's not going to be a single white actor left in western media, literally every last cast member of every single thing is going to be black lol.
I think Steve Sailer had the correct take on this: there will always be roles for white men in Hollywood, if for no other reason than that somebody has to play the villain.

Oh yeah, of course they'll still play the token racist villain, there might be a few token good Asians or Hispanics too, but say good bye to good guy white male protagonists at this rate.

It's a problem because it's boring because it's overdone and becomes samey after a while, once upon a time it was interesting to have a movie star be someone like Will Smith or Denzel Washington but now it's boring because 90% of actors in media today are black and black characters are not allowed to be interesting, they're not allowed to have any character flaws, which is a big part of what makes a character interesting, it's always "strong and competent" ie boring as shit, Captain Marvel being a female example.

To use an example of a white male character look at Indiana Jones, he gets his ass kicked constantly, he has phobias ("I hate snakes"), he has daddy issues, he is in other words written to be human enough to be interesting despite also being a larger than life action hero.

You can literally list good characters and their flaws all day long, Tony Stark being another example, he's brash and overly confident which sometimes gets him in trouble, at the start of his first movie he's actually a total asshole and has to be humbled and work his way back up to being a hero, again I have to cite Captain Marvel as an example of the polar opposite, there's nothing human about her and consequently nothing interesting, she doesn't have to be humbled and work her way back up, she's perfect from her first scene.

It would be just as boring if it was nothing but white people and white characters were also written to be as bland and boring.

You know, for all the shit people talk about him, Alan Moore threw up his hands and walked away at a (comparatively) trivial defilement of his work. Why is the crazy hippie who worships a snake god the only one with any artistic integrity?
Because he's a crazy hippy who worships a snake god?

I don't like Gaiman's work. I find it pretentious and hollow.

I read Good Omens because Terry Pratchett wrote part of it. I read some of the Sandman comics because at that age my main goal in life was to have sex with goth chicks.

But I have never found him good. The Sandman one I came closest to enjoying was the one where Destruction is missing and Dream and Delirium go looking for him. Even that was pretentious and had no pacing.

Also, if Death doesn't look like this then what's the fucking point?

The problem with the casting (besides the pronouns) is that the well of race swapped characters isn't just poisoned, it's irradiated. There is no hope that actors are cast because their acting ability or how they look like the author intended. That by itself wouldn't be as bad, but those casting decisions always mean that the source material is going to be dumbed down and have woke points inserted without any relation to the source material or reality itself.

And Gaiman cucks and simps because, like many cows on this site, he will forever think that the left is its home, even when it betrays virtually every idea he lived by.

As for Sandman itself. I remember liking it, but I read it before I had any real sense of taste.

Prediction, there will be a scene where Death takes on her classic form plus others ( along with male, female and other) before going back to black form that will be used as the "see death can be whatever she wants nerd. She took her comic form, aren't you happy" in a lame attempt appease the fans who don't like this change.

Desire is whatever gender you want it to be. The actor's a dude.

And believe it or not he's only 25. If he looks this bad now imagine how much work he's gonna pile on to his face over the next decade. Good lord is he a meth addict or something? He looks like a haggard 45.

Like when First Class Mystique briefly turned into Rebecca Romijn? I can see it. On the other hand, the woke producers might object to the idea of comparing a Black woman to a white woman, especially if there's a chance the white woman will be better received.

It's not an addiction, chemsex is part of their culture. We'll probably even see it at some point in the series. Dream, Desire, and Delirium all arguing over who owns fuckpigs slamming meth in their arms. They belong to Death.

Life goals

Speaking of which, whatever happened to the goth chick trend anyways? Given what currently is trending, i.e. the LGBTQZOMGWTFBBQ rainbow, and the alphabet soup of genders growing larger everyday, makes me miss the goth chick trend.

Because to pull of the goth chick look, you have to be thin and pay close attention to detail and dress in clothes that fit you properly, all of which is like kryptonite for the modern fat, lazy, terminally angry millennial girl.

Here all subcultures seem to have been overshadowed by mass migration. You don't see many people trying to look different; people are instead trying to look normal.

Besides the blue hairs that is.

I think there were always fat goths as well.

Gaiman has a history of endorsing old, "problematic" authors. I think he has to keep sucking the tranny dick so people don't make too much of the fact that he's a big fan of authors like H.P. Lovecraft and Rudyard Kipling.

Nah, I kinda doubt that with how people like him usually are and that he wouldn't have let Hollywood rape his work continuously. He should also have fuck you money from his decades of work.

Having Desire be a "non-binary they/them" thing I would say misunderstands and wrongfully limits what the character is supposed to be. Desire is both ends of the binary and everything else besides, not a rejection of the binary. The correct pronouns would have been "he/she/they/it/a particularly comely pile of Shetland pony dung." All of the above, rather than none of the above.
