Ah, what a nice surprise that the thread didn't suddenly explode while I was away and I only have a couple of pages to catch up on.
It's a little bit of both. He takes them down so that he can go through all the posts and prune away the comments, edit things to be more incriminating and also to prepare the "smoking gun". He also sometimes takes them down simply because he gets overwhelmed with everyone commenting on it and referencing it, so he pulls the whole page to give us time to cool down, so to speak.
This is great. I really don't think Len knows what Patreon is or understands how it works, but people pretending to be him is (as I've showed before) a huge berserk button, so we'll definitely get something out of this.

I'm kinda curious just what forces must come together to create something like a Len Shaner in the first place. Anyone know his grandfather's name? I bet we can look up his whole family tree and see just where this madness came from.

I'm not talking about his immediate family, especially those who are still alive, but I'd be curious to know if there are any names of note in his background.
After a point, it's not enough to answer the questions of "What is Shaner?" but we must also learn the answers to "Why is Shaner?" and "How has this mistake known as Shaner come into existence?"

If we take our inspirational OPL as any indication, we should probably avoid contacting people unless they themselves jump into this bandwagon of crazy. Megan didn't ask to be Chris's object of attraction, and she certainly didn't ask for a bunch of w.eens that wouldn't stop asking her about Chris.

His direct decent is from a guy (named Schöner) who migrated from Germany to Philadelphia in 1742. After a while, he changed his name to Schoener and settled in the Pottstown area... and his family simply never left.
Never.
While some female branches of his family left Pennsylvania and improved themselves, losing the Shaner name in the process. Len's branch of the family stagnated in the same 10 mile area where they've lived since the 1700's. They've never distinguished themselves, and as far as I can tell, none of then have done anything of note in 300 years.
There are at least 2 cousin marriages in his direct family line.
