Jaron Seth Bloshinsky / Jazz Jennings / I Am Jazz - Puberty Blockers: Not Even Once

Isn't Marci the one that told (underage) Jazz he needed to discover his prostate in order to achieve orgasm - at a consultation in front of his parents? Then they cut to cuckdad being like 'well that was super awkward'.

Oh man it's worse than I remember 😬

Hooray, my daughter has a G-spot.

I don't blame them either, but what makes Jazz an asshole?

Eh, at the context of medical treatment it is fine. Don't get me wrong, Inthink this guy is creepy as fuck, but this particular thing is excusable.
Ah, the age old medical treatment of discussing masturbation and orgasm with a child in front of his mother when you're an AGP fetishist with two cameras present.

This is why you have a nurse in the office. Have her hand the kid a pamphlet. Better to pay the nurse overtime to create a pamphlet than to ever deal with that kind of trainwreck. Bowers isn't a gynecologist talking to a young woman who is asking for resources during a private appointment.

I'm in the minority here, but even if misguided, I appreciate Sanders' heart. He is loving Jazz as best he knows how to. At least Jazz can look back and feel loved and cared about without the emphasis being his body. We all need that. Maybe especially troons.
I agree, I feel better about someone being there for her. In the long run, is it kind of enabling? Yeah, probably. But taking her out is genuinely nice. It's the LGBTQ rallying that feels more desperate and empty.

Let me clarify my earlier post: it is excusable, if it is done in private. Bowers isn't a gynecologist, but this question is relevent here, and it's not something you can use a pamphlet for. What I'm trying to say: asking such thing in the right circumstances (relevant to the medical exam or procedure) is okay, the execution is not (filming it, parents in the room). But since every minute of Jazz's "journey" is filmed anyway and Jazz harped about his then future vagina all the time, I forgot it's not even normal...

BTW, it's possible that he lied there and is (used to) masturbate but too embarrassed to say, but ehhhhh I doubt it.

I don't think anyone is contesting the fact that discussing sexual issues with a doctor, including masturbation, is appropriate. They're saying that under those circumstances you just described, it's fucking creepy. Because it is.

Anyway, Jazz has never had an orgasm. He has never gone through puberty. And when questioned about it, he didn't say "yes" or "eww gross" or "lol tmi, I'm not going to tell you" or "OMG GRANDMA NO!!" like a normal horrified teen. Iirc he said no, but also that he wasn't sure, but probably no, and waffled more before saying no. And imo that is a definite no. That is the "no" of a kid who doesn't want to admit he hasn't had a life experience other people have had. It's the "no" of a kid who has atrophied genitals and a lack of male sex hormones. He later talked about how he's never had sexual feelings but expects them to wake up and start happening when he falls in love. This person has absolutely never had an orgasm. Any other take is pure 🌈

In this article's videoclip, there's hugging and kissing by Dr Bowers and Dr Ting — Bowers seems willing to grab the entre family, Ting is only seen hugging Greg, but the way everyone got up when the doctors came into the room shows the family were used to it or even initiated it. Ting's behaviour was a bit of a surprise to me (it's been a long time since I've watched the series) but Bowers always showed a lack of boundaries (even on the video calls), she came across more as a family friend than a doctor.

ETA; At about 0:31 Dr Marci Bowers throws a colleague under the bus for the second surgery Jazz had. Note that this second surgery was needed to fix "problems" that occurred after the first surgery (performed by Bowers!) that went "seemingly well".

Not that it makes it any less awkward, but that's not Dr Marci Bowers, that's Dr Christine McGinn from the "Papillon Center" in Philadelphia. The Jennings rejected this doctor because they got to hear some talk about possible depression after and possible difficulties with the surgery. And then the more honest doctor mentioned the use of testosterone cream! At least Dr Bowers gave them the fairy-tale story they wanted.

This is the full clip, with an introduction of Dr McGinn and a good look on Jazz's ideas about orgasms:

The transgender Dr McGinn is a former US Navy Flight Surgeon. In 2017, when Trump announced he was reinstating a ban from trans people to serve in the US military, McGinn said that if the government wouldn't provide for trans soldiers, (s)he would. (it gets confusing if you watch the video where she is referred to as "she")

I do know some doctors who are very familiar like this, especially if they've been seeing the same patient for years as a kid for some kind of chronic condition. It can be a really good bedside manner strategy to put children and their families at ease. But in this case, that behavior is probably played up for the cameras. The speech she gives about how "hard" it's been is stepping over the line a bit. Especially because she's trying to dust up a surgery she helped botch.

The dad notices that Dr. Bowers acknowledging it is the least the family should expect and that Bower really messed up. The overly friendly demeanor is to try to soothe the family and pretend they're still all VERY invested in Jazz as a person so the family doesn't start to think that maybe they have a claim.

Sure, he’s trying to be supportive. Sander is not very bright, however, and he doesn’t realize all this support: being an ally, covering a room with trans flags, making a million tik toks about it, and likely making allyship his full time career, only means that he’s boxing Jazz out if he ever does change his mind and realize he’s a male. Who can he go to? His mother is a crazy person, his sister, father and one brother has checked out, and the one closest to him will also lose his identity if Jazz wants to be Jaron.

I saw a 60 Minutes. Australia in which they featured a 15 year old who had decided he was trans at age 12. Doctors in Oz are more sensible and wouldn’t let a child that young delay puberty. There are crazy mothers in every country, so mom, who’d had a hysterectomy, decided to give her son her estrogen, because he was getting tall and she was afraid he wouldn’t pass. He took it for two years. He grew breasts, voice changed, the story we know. However, at 14 the kid decided he really was a boy, so mom is hoping to reverse damage and get him a mastectomy-something they also don’t do easily in Australia. Small victory-she’s at least letting her son be himself now, although she shouldn’t have been caught up in childish nonsense at all.

The interesting thing was the doctor’s interview. He said that exploring gender can be a normal part of childhood/early puberty but these children’s dysphoria almost always disappear by the end of puberty. He said a true Dysphoric who didn’t grow out of it was so rare that he hadn’t yet treated one, and he’d been a doctor for about 30 years and was about 70.

YouTube has a lot of videos about detransitioners-they are always thrown out of the LGTB club, of course, and are called traitors.

It’s really sad. Kids like Jazz who were brainwashed (or at least taken way too seriously) now will never have functioning genitals whether male or female. At this point, that part of his life will never happen. He may even want to revert back to masculinity and go see basketball with his brother as a brother. But he can never admit it- his community would disown him, his mother would blame him, and the one family member who cares would also lose everything.

He’s trapped, so he eats. Nothing else he can do except join the 41. It’s terribly sad. His entire family is to blame, but especially his mother, next is the LGBT community, and then the medical community. They all failed this kid, and the others like him.

When did he quit high school?

Trying to put myself in his situation, I can see him getting gradually more and more alienated from his same-age classmates who have gone through puberty while he's still got the mind of a kid, and I can also see him trying and failing to analyze the source of his discontent.

Like even the people I wasn't really friends with in high school were still my peers. Some people were having sex, some people were doing drugs, some people were flunking out, some people were going to college in the afternoon, and so forth. But we were still a cohort of people who were all trying to figure out the same shit at the same time.

For Jazz, it might have been like being a super genius kid who is 11 years old and studying calculus where these people you are in a classroom with are not your peers. But I don't think Jazz has the mental acuity to figure out which issues are part and parcel of being trans versus which issues are due to being in a room of people who are biologically adults while he is still biologically a child.

It's creepy and kind of pedorrific to think about the sex lives of young adolescents, but if a 14-year-old male can't coom and doesn't feel physical attraction to other people, that seems like time for some serious intervention.

When did he quit high school?

When he was 17, during or after finishing junior year.

The binge-eating has been a problem for a long time. The only reason the weight gain didn't show as much as it does now, is that Jazz couldn't be over a certain weight to be eligible for surgery.
Jazz had been troubled with attending real-life school for several years. A lot of pressure seems to have been put on the kid.

Because he is loving Jazz as he best knows how to.

Really loving and accepting someone who is wounded and broken isn't the small feat it sounds like. Everyone thinks it's so easy to be a nice guy and set aside revulsion and your own other flaws. It isn't. People like Sanders are waging an internal war to look beyond the surface and their own base nature. He may be a deeply flawed and damaged young man from witnessing what he has, but he has a good heart, even if it looks absurd to the rest of us.

At the end of the day, who loves Jazz enough to say that they love him, stand beside him, and be seen with him? Not Jeanette. Not the cuck dad. Not Ari or the other twin. Not Jazz's alleged friends or even that Duggar in-law who alleged to be concerned. Claiming advocacy is easy today. Putting love into action is hard work.
Is it like survivors guilt? does he take some of the blame, I get being a good brother and being there for a clearly damaged person but it seems like he took on the whole activism thing seems like he is trying to live his life as if he is Jazz in a way.

Without knowing Sanders, I can't say. I imagine it's some gullt from knowing Jazz had no real voice in his transition; any person can see that. I think some of it is just trying to be supportive of this thing that's your little sibling's whole life, as well as seeing a way to make easy money and open some doors for yourself.

I feel bad for Jazz because what if going through puberty would’ve changed the life-altering decisions made??? That nutso mom fucked up bad.

I was one of those kinds of kids, but in elementary school. I was jealous of males and desperately wished I had been born a male. I didn’t think I made a good female. Plus, it was equally confusing when I saw Princess Leia in that bikini and considered her on same level as 90’s era DiCaprio. I never spoke with anyone about these feelings and kept it internalized. BUT even as a kid I knew life would be way harder if I made any attempts to make my wish come true.

Eventually, I hit puberty and gained the ability to grow a mustache before any other boys even had the ability to. At this point, the feelings of wanting to be male changed and I desperately wanted the mustache to be gone. It is funny my elementary school dream kinda came to slight fruition to my own horror.

My point is gender is fucking weird and kids shouldn’t be allowed to make permanent decisions before age 18. Sometimes things sort themselves out.

I don’t understand how people feel either way and are so invested in it. To me, it just seems the difference between favoring masculinity or feminity. And it feels almost sexist that some MTF people automatically assume they have to act all girly to be female. No, that’s just being stereotypically feminine. Plus, all the pronouns shit is all just too much. Why does anyone care what their pronoun is? They should just care that people can recall their name.

Also, Jazz might’ve already orgasmed and didn’t even realize that’s what it was. Orgasms can be hard to accurately describe.

I learned to orgasm when I was like 5, but never made the connection that was an orgasm until I was like 13. Assumed it was some weird massage reaction.

Seeing Jeanette, let alone any woman her age, wearing a choker is disturbing. I really don't like it.

That choker is definitely disgusting.

Papilllon means butterfly. Pretty sure it’s just a play on how butterflies go through complete transformations.

That makes total sense and I now feel retarded. However I'm going to choose to believe that anyone whose subjecting children to this is a pedophile by default.

I agree, but I'm going to pretend it's a moth and more a question of how many larvae are going to get put in hot water just so one person can have a closet full of silk.

I can’t speak for the men here, but as a woman I don’t care how ā€œhandsomeā€ a female to male may look like. I’m still going for the real dick rather than the sock dick - doesn’t matter to me if it’s two inches big, at least it’s REAL and won’t break upon entry and you’re not going to change my mind so cry more.
That, and an FTM is never going to have the natural physical strength of even an out of shape cis male. Half the reason for getting a man is to have another person around who can do the physical, hard labor chores that you can't do as a woman. You might as well get a woman with a legit vagina and then hire a dude for all that shit. Getting with a tranny is like some domestic half-measure.

Why is Greg even there? Jazz is presumably an adult in this clip and Jeanette is already there to 'advocate' for Jazz. There is no reason that Greg needs to be there. Other than the reality TV whoredom machine.

It's a troon clinic. It's advertising to troons like "You'll tranform into a beautiful butterfly!"

A bit off topic, but watching those clips with Marci Bowers, it just amazes how when I was younger, I really didn't register the differences between men and women, and I remember watching an old troon documentary (mid 2000s) and all the trannies, including Marci Bowers, I thought passed pretty well. Fast forward to now, and I can't believe the I never noticed how Bowers has a very obvious male voice. And to be honest? I think he kind of passes as an ugly older woman (which ain't saying much) as long as you don't look too long at him. It helps that he styles himself in age appropriate women's clothing, make up, and hairstyle. I just find it funny how little I paid attention to the differences in men and women when I was younger. Funny how bad times can quickly make you learn to spot them. /endsperg

Sanders could indeed feel guilt, but only at a subconscious level, and probably doesn't recognize where it's coming from. And he obviously displaces this guilt by thinking it's because Jazz faces so much transphobia and trans people just have it so hard, because that is what Jeanette has pounded into her family's heads. That is my Freudian psychoanalysis at least. But I do think the family is on watch over Jazz. They may be deluded, but they aren't deluded enough to not see the warning signs that Jazz is probably going to have a breakdown, the only question is when. I think they haven't gotten him into therapy is because they're probably scared to death of what Jazz would tell a therapist without them there with him, especially now he's an adult and Jeanette and Greg can't legally have info on how the sessions went.
