I haven’t seen the show in forever, but the movie was actually really good.

Why it's a reboot of something beloved taking a big whopping gorrilaton shit on the original that everyone will go back to enjoying to erase the memory of watching their "superior" version! Cheese and fucking crackers, and they wonder why they failed.
The Cartoon Cartoons were made specifically to get away from the glorified toy commercials of old (made in part by Hanna-Barbara, the CC creators' mentors) and to prove cartoons can be more art than just marketing tools. I'm all but certain McCracken doesn't care anymore since he ended PPG on his terms and moved on but fuck me running does this make me want to dawn a MOTI top hat.
Forgive the doublepost but some rando said it got copyright claimed thus proving it was real. I looked at the original leaker's tweets and look what's there now.

REAL.
PPG 2016, you are forgiven.
This, really. Unless you’re making a continuation that’s explicitly FOR the same audience that watched the original (e.g. Samurai Jack), what’s even the point of using an old IP? The audience you want isn’t going to have any nostalgic connection to it, while fans of the old property will dismiss it 99% of the time, usually for good reason.Admittedly, TTG would be better off being it’s own IP. It could easily be the Freakazoid of the 2010s.
Though that’s a stance I take on 99% of reboots rather than just targeting TTG.
Lol how many Spider-Man and Batman film and cartoon reboots have there been? This, really. We’re eventually going to reach a point where reboots stop making money because it’s immediately assumed that they’ll be shit.
Boy, I wish those days would come...We’re eventually going to reach a point where reboots stop making money because it’s immediately assumed that they’ll be shit.
Those can get away with it by virtue of being an S rank IP and even then they’re not always received warmly.Lol how many Spider-Man and Batman film and cartoon reboots have there been?
Rebooting popular shit for a new audience will always be a thing.
And Hermey the Elf, lest we forget.Speaking of Spiderman,

Original Spider-Man voice actor Paul Soles dies aged 90

The original voice of Spiderman has died.
Because they wanted Raven to ride their dicks.Which is weird because I remember /co/ dick riding TTG when it came out.
Hilarious in Hindsight indeed."Uncle Grandpa, I don't think this is safe"
"Don't worry kid, I'm wearin' a helmet"

As a random spergy bit of bonus trivia, Uncle Grandpa telling Steven to polish his gem a couple times a year is a huge clue to the fact that Rose Quartz is Pink Diamond. Diamonds need polishing that amount of times per year, Rose Quartzes don't require polishing at all.
Apparently Cartoon Cartoon/What A Cartoon is being revived to be an incubator for new ideas. I only pray it brings in a good batch of animators.I wish we had something like What a cartoon! to have a new crop of creator driven cartoons.
With so much money being pumped into streaming services, one would imagine there could be a way to prop up some incubators and let the audience decide what pilots get made into a show. Just let the cartoonist go wild.
I'll wait until we actually see what cartoons get released to judge them. You have to think about the people who make these cartoons and the executives who greenlight them these days. I'm not expecting anything amazing or for CN to get "saved", but I'll be pleasantly surprised if we get something good from this.Apparently Cartoon Cartoon/What A Cartoon is being revived to be an incubator for new ideas. Personally I think there's no hope for cN or Nick now. Ironically it was oversaturation of mediocre content that nearly killed them off. Now between rugrats 2021 the blues clues pride video and letting hacks like nolle Stevenson work for them. There's nothing left to hope for at this point..... Don't go doomer just yet. Remember CN is doing another go at What A Cartoon so who knows. And of course indie animation by the likes of Newgrounds and Spindlehorse has what TV doesn't anyway. Enjoy those (if you want, I don't care).Personally I think there's no hope for cN or Nick now. Ironically it was oversaturation of mediocre content that nearly killed them off. I may not like what Hirsch says most of the time. But I got admit I am amazed to see him calling Disney out on their bullshit of pandering to China.Don't go doomer just yet. Anyways, Alex Hirsch has been slowly burning his career bridge for a while but in celebration of Pride MonthTM, he pressed the fucking nuke button.

Calling out companies and brands for turning sexuality into a product/cult you must buy and sell or else? Okay. Being employed by the very people you have this gripe with thus signaling to other employers you can't keep your fucking issues under control while under contract? wow
Hirsch is dangerously close to being lolcow material.
Weren't the Delightful Children "Sector Zero" turned into "the perfect children" by dad?*Guests at The Delightful Children From Down The Lane's Birethday party are in chairs forced to sing*
"Happy birthday, its your birthday, not our birthday, birthday horary."
"Splendid! now while I eat our birthday cake you may sing it...AGAIN!"
*Guests sigh* "Happy Birthday..."
I used to wonder how can there be five C.A.K.E.D episodes of codename K.N.D but the members of sector V don't seem to age, then I remembered oh yeah five members of the delightful children, one birthday for each of them
Yes, it was revealed in the Z.E.R.O. movie, along with Father being Nigel’s uncle.Weren't the Delightful Children "Sector Zero" turned into "the perfect children" by dad?
