That colorful landscape thing on the left side would be nice if it didn't have PRIDE + JOY written in giant white Helvetica font over the top. Helvetica is the most corporate font in the world. So much shit uses it as their corporate logos that it practically screams "This is designed to separate you from your money".At Macy’s:

Not gay, but it does weird me out. I’ve noticed that things like Autism Awareness in April is getting more recognition. I wouldn’t mind as much if it wasn’t munchies and random Tumblr/Twitter users self-diagnosing themselves for the victim points though. It actually makes me a bit angry because I actually do have autism and I don’t like what these awareness movements have done to it. It gets romanticized heavily in the media when it’s truly a sucky thing to have most of the time. Additionally, having that identity doesn’t make me a better or more moral person, but I’ve noticed that these social justice circles treat being black/trans/gay/autistic as things that make you better by default. At least I can be thankful Autism Awareness stuff isn’t as in-your-face as the Pride stuff is.This whole business of "X awareness month" is starting to feel weirder and weirder. Seems like EVERYTHING has an awareness month now. Doesn't it feel strange, having corporations and prominent figures talk about something important to you for a dedicated stretch of time and then drop it like it never happened? They don't care. May is Mental Health Awareness Month and corporations were making the usual gestures, but they'll drop the crazies for the gays tomorrow without a qualm. It makes my skin crawl.
Gay Kiwis, does this weird you out too?
I don't know what you just said, but...snip
There’s more than one right here in this very thread. Hello!I always hear about these mythical “normal LGBT folks who just want to live their lives”, but I’ve never actually met one.
Greeeeat. I figured shit was going downhill when they lifted the moratorium on discussing (non-explicit) sexuality last year. Wonder how long until they lift the bans on the other off-limits topics, too?Neopets just announced they will make pride merch for the first time. Gotta get in on that grift since the site has been broke for years.

You know, the only one of these months that was around when I was a kid was Black History Month in February, and even as a kid, I thought that was strange. Like, why compartmentalize black people into their own month? Isn't their history tied in with everyone else's? And why is it that all we ever hear about is slavery, Rosa Parks sitting at the front of the bus, and George Washington Carver inventing peanut butter?This whole business of "X awareness month" is starting to feel weirder and weirder. They're not uncommon, but they also aren't out and proud. One I remember growing up was the lady who ran the biker bar near the ice cream place. (Small towns, am I right?)Can we talk about how fucking ugly the new pride flag is? Jogger is not a sexuality. Who even made that and how did it catch on?
I always hear about these mythical “normal LGBT folks who just want to live their lives”, but I’ve never actually met one. Every gay man seems to have some story about getting fucked by an older guy. Lesbians apparently have a 40% rate of being molested as children (that statistic might be outdated now but you get the point), and most of the chicks calling themselves lesbians nowadays are just bisexuals who like to make out with girls sometimes. As for trannies, do I even need to say it? I mean, when the rest of the acronym hates you, you know it's bad.

I saw some lesbian radfems describe that flag as:
White = straight white men
Baby blue and pink = who love gender stereotypes and creepy infantile paedo shit
Black and brown = using black people as a shield
Rainbow = to overrun the LGB movement and use it for their own bullshit
The trans chevron just reminds me of the intro to Dad's Army where it shows a map of Europe with the arrows with the German and UK flags moving around and pushing into each other's countries. It's as if the troons are invading the gay rights land.
It is a fact of life that in a lesbian relationship, one of them has to look like a boy.
Why is Gaultier doing Pride merch? Dude’s already gayer than a Christmas tree.Here are more items you can get at Macy’s:

My dad had a similar take.I think you might be in the ballpark with this, but it may be a bit simpler. The rainbow is supposed to be a holy symbol of God's promise not to flood the Earth again, but they instead is associated as a symbol of something sinful. This could probably considered blasphemous. This actually has parallels to marriage and sex themselves: marriage is supposed to be a symbol for the love between God and the Church and sex is supposed to be sacred and monogamous, but homosexuals (and many people in general nowadays) tend to be promiscuous and hedonistic. They also celebrate homosexuality, referring to it as, "pride," often considered to be the chief sin.
With all that said, I'm not sure how much, if any, is intentional on their part.
