I don't understand why you guys have a fetish for sexist, racist, obese 75 year old conmen, but whatever tickles your pickle man
Maybe that's part of the problem. You
don't understand. If you did, a lot more about all of this would make sense, but, running under the presumption that you're very likely a Democrat voter, I'll tell you, because none of them seem to understand.
You're operating off of a playbook from 2003. All of the once-scathing remarks you've ever thrown at a conservative, don't work for the people who are currently relevant to conservatism. You assume that all of the people who voted for Donald Trump are the same people who voted for Bush. Way off the fuckin' mark. There are certainly a few, yes. Boomers are still unfortunately alive, after all, but they're not culturally relevant anymore. You can't call me an uneducated backwards redneck from the boonies. I build robots for fun in a machine shop I cobbled together in my garage. I pull cars out of swamps, fix them, and flip them for money as a side gig. My job is in the tech industry. The future is now, old man, and the future is a sight mostly unseen.
Nobody talks about conservative millenials. Nobody talks about conservative millenials because most people assume that just doesn't exist. You can't huck the same critiques at them, that you did at their parents or grandparents. They're tech-savvy, they're socially in-tune, they're educated, and most important of all, they're nowhere near as fucking obnoxious as liberal millenials. Half of this generation goes completely politically unseen, because they just want to get through the goddamn day, without some pretentious nag whining and bitching about starving children in africa, or wee mexican babies, or whatever other appeal to sympathy they don't actually care about, just to get attention or clout. It should come as no surprise to you that trying to tolerate this psychotic, "look at me", empty-handed egalitarian, behavior, would make a guy pretty fucking bitter after, oh, 20 fucking years and change?
You want to know why I voted for Donald Trump twice? Pure, refined, spite. Spite, and hatred. I voted for a guy who isn't half of the isms people call him, but absolutely looks like the kind of person who would be, because I knew it would throw the people I hate the most in life, into total psychological turmoil, for years. It's the least they deserve, but the most damage I can legally do to them. It worked, and I got what I wanted until my cup runneth over. Donald Trump was the Big Red Button. I voted for him because I was willing to put this country on ice for four years just to torture people I hate.
I used to be a liberal. I voted for Obama for fuck's sake. Not an obnoxious in your face "you have to care about every little problem on earth or you're a bad bad boy" liberal, just a normal person with a live-and-let-live attitude who didn't want to get in anyone's way unless they were getting in mine. The postmodern left got in my way. In 2011, they got in my way in literally every facet, category, and subcategory of my life, because they wouldn't shut the fuck up about shit I just don't care about and never will, and were so loud in their crybullying, that they've managed to make just about everything I have ever wanted to do with my life, illegal.
Here's the ironic fuckin' thing too. I hated Bush. We've had two Democrat presidents since Bush, and both of them are doing precisely the same shit I hated Bush for, yet they're practically messianic figures to the Democrats. THAT, I will never understand. Do they just not care about boomercon moves when Democrats make them, or is it just fair weather attention paid to their saviors? The most Bushlike thing Trump ever did was bomb an airport. Whoop-de-fucking-doo. How about that GTMO? I thought that was supposed to be closed under Obama, and not expanded? I laid a vote down for that. How about the Smith-Mundt Act repeal in the NDAA for fiscal year 2013? The Democrats legalized propaganda, which goes just swell with a budding surveillance state. Where's the outrage? Trump let the PATRIOT Act sunset under his presidency*. What a monster!
I think you don't understand a lot of things. The biggest one is how intolerable the current left has become. Normal people want to kill over how they act. You just couldn't leave them alone. You couldn't just leave me alone. I have been far too patient. The Trump Right is not going away, and they're not going to play by the rules forever. If you wanted a civil war, you're getting one, it's only a matter of time. I'm pretty sure this election was stolen, but I'm also pretty well convinced that the past sixty fucking years of presidential elections have been stolen. That is not my hill to die on. Mine is making sure degenerate psychopaths don't ruin my country or my future, and if they're going to, I'll make sure to salt the earth on my way out.
My only regret voting for Donald Trump is that he
didn't cheat. Or, if he did, that he didn't cheat harder than the other guy.
*There are some elements of the PATRIOT Act that are still active, as they were spun off into their own legislation, if memory serves.
