Ideally, all companies should do is provide people with a service - presenting themselves as entities with personalities is inherently harmful and unnecessary.

honestly, I think it should be illegal for companies to advertise using anything that's not directly related to what the company actually does. Your food company shouldn't "support" anything, because it makes food. Personally I don't care who I'm buying something from, as long as it is what it is and serves its purpose adequately.

Most of the LGBT+ people I've talked to or seen on the socials are sick of the ads too. Many of the companies pushing it now had problems in the past with discrimination, or still have problems at management level but put on a good face because puddle-depth leftist allies eat that shit up. Meanwhile, marriage equality isn't actually a thing because disabled people can't get legally married and keep federal benefits like disability payments. Even if they're too disabled to work! But nah, fuck 'em. It's exhausting.

I've yet to meet someone who calls themselves an "ally" and isn't absolutely fucking retarded. Something about "with allies like these who needs enemies". I barely give a shit about the idea of the word "marriage" being attached to gay marriages, it's more to do with the legalese shit, and things like being able to fucking visit a partner in the hospital and so on. Call it a civil union, I don't care, no one in their right mind gives a shit if it's called marriage and there's no reason to force churches to handle it anyway. As long as the civil union grants the same spousal rights etc. the only people left complaining will be the assholes who just wanted to flex on the evil homophobes in the church.
