Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

also with none of the idea guys working of it (Benzies thrown out due to royalites issues, Dan is retired and Sam fucked off to music industry) I expect soulless trash being vehicle to next GTAO
TBF, GTA V was already soulless trash. There's a small chance we get a DooM '16-like surprise with VI.
I'll take my rainbows now.

Apparently the devs were making their own bug montage videos and they have been posted on /v/ thread | archive

https://streamable.com/rz1onb (said to be from closer to release)

Supposedly from a 2013 build

More videos
True if big

it just keeps getting worse:story: if the devs where really making thier own crowbcat videos. That just tells me that they 100% knew No matter what they did, this game was never gonna be fixed. The entire problem seems to be that the very core of the game is fucked beyond the point of fixing it with patching. To truly fix this game, they would have to just start over and make a whole new code & game from top to bottom. I fully bet that’s what devs told management & instead of biting the bullet of fucking up, they told the devs to just keep going And I guess these videos are the devs way of dealing with the pain of knowing this game is fucked no matter what they do. Honestly, if I was them? I think they should all quit and let management drawn in thier own shit.

Damn, they really were actively developing it as early as 2013?

Jesus Christ what a shit show. I wonder how many times they restarted development. No way it was only after they got Keanu Reeves at this point.
They're fucked now. Those internal bug compilations ae proof they lied about the poor state the game was in.

Not sure I buy that all of these came from inside CDPR. The 2013 build video in particular looks very fake to me. I know it's supposed to be really early footage, but to me it just looks like something some rando threw together with flipped assets in Unity.

Not trying to defend CDPR, mind you. Cyberpunk is an embarrassing disaster and they deserve to get raked over the coals for it. But everything got leaked in the hack right? What's to say that these compilations weren't put together by a bunch of hackers using a stolen dev build, and then "leaked" to cause more damage to CDPR's brand as punishment for not paying them off?
I'm just skeptical is all. I could believe that most of these are legit, but that 2013 build video really stands out to me as complete bullshit, which leads me to suspect that the rest of the leaks are bullshit too.
Do I buy that at some point the game was as broken as these videos depict? Oh most definitely.
Do I buy that these bug compilations came from the devs themselves? Not so much, but I'm happy to be proven wrong.

Ordinarily I'd agree with you, but CDPR was dumb enough to lie and show fake video game footage to investors which leads to lawsuits.

There's no telling how deep the bad blood runs in that shithole studio.

Hope we get more leaks regarding the 2013 build. I know it was initiallly a rumour that the game had been scrapped multiple times and shit but then that Jason schreier article came out and now the leaks. Definitely fits in with cdpr teasing the game so early in 2012. I know it's not unheard of a game being reworked or scrapped but it's the fact that the game was still slated for a 2020 release when they essentially just started working on in it when they released the e3 demo in 2018.
Big if true honestly.

1st and 4th videos have been removed. "This video has been removed for violating our Terms of Service."

I assume the rest will be at some point.

So, I was hoping that the game might be fixed and become playable at some point (thank fuck I didn't have the money to preorder it), so I guess the verdict is:
Game's fucked, nothing will save it and CDPR has gone the way of EA?

Shit sucks.

Am I the only person on the planet that didn’t have a problem running the game?
No but whenever I mention it I get told I don't count cause I don't play everything at max settings.

Depends on what people mean by it being "fixed"

You might get bug fixes. They *might* add trams.

The lackluster side content, weird story choices and general middle of the road gameplay isn't going to change.

Are these worth uploading to the farms? I've put them all on catbox which is hear is pretty decent for now. (EDIT: someone on /v/ posted a mega with them too https://mega.nz/folder/spxABLCa#AnPAJ8bJQKH8aEO6h6QP8Q )

Bugs might get fixed, content might get added, but the core will still be a really shallow ubisoft style open world game. I have 200 hours of messing about in it on a mid tier pc and it runs fine for me but i am certainly disappointed in the content.

So, with fixed bugs, maybe some more content (or mods), it might still be worth a purchase in a Steam Sale, I guess?

Honestly, on PC it's just kind of a mediocre game. There is some fun that can be had for 20 bucks, maybe 30 bucks if you really like the aesthetic or keanu reeves. I didn't even really have any bugs when I played it, but it has a severe lack of polish on all systems regardless and the game just feels like a mediocre Deus Ex HR/MD thrown into an unnecessary open world.

Hell the worst "bugs" I have even seen on the PC front is that ray tracing is apparently dogshit. I don't fuck with RT though so my playthrough stuck around 60 fps on mid to high settings.

The real shit show was on the consoles.

I already posted my impression of the game in this thread a good while ago, and my opinion hasn't really changed. I spent 60 hours doing a complete-ish run of the game and I didn't hate what I played. There were some obvious issues unbecoming of a AAA title and aspects of the gameplay felt pretty shallow, but the core of the game (driving between shootouts interspersed with narrative bits) is solid.
I just hope it gets some DLC because I cannot, for the life of me, bring myself to play it again. Because of the aforementioned shallowness, there is precisely zero reason to replay the game once you've done all the side content. Despite what you may expect, there is very little branching in the narrative aside from which way you decide to go after Arisaka at the end and who you bang. There's little satisfaction to be had from the looter shooter gameplay loop either because there are no enemies that can pose a serious challenge late in the game, and a lot of the stats are kind of busted anyway.
