General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I believe that pikamee is the ambassador for all vtubers atm. Just look at the people she collabed with
Just realized the Among Us collab she had with Artemis, Lyrica, Mint, Nova, and Mocca was one of few that had no Holos in it. Curious. (I remember that one only from the first play where Artemis completely whiffs reverse psychology, but Lyrica carries it anyway)

On the one hand, Artemis, which this thread seems to love hating as much as it does doompost Calli/Kiara. On the other hand, that final collab with Mint and Nova, with Lyrica in tow for some reason.

If Moona is Hololive's Ms. Worldwide, Pikamee is the indie Ms. Universe.

And now I have to be an anti and doomposter because she plays alliance.
Of course she plays Alliance. An Austrian wouldn't dare dream of touching some filthy no-shoes faction.

On the one hand, Artemis, which this thread seems to love hating as much as it does doompost Calli/Kiara.
We have extensively gone over why we hate Artemis in that time too. And, by now, it's much less of an outright hate and more just a general disdain thanks to the fact that he never actually got the prominence that he and his following have tried shilling so hard for.

I don't get why this cost her 5k followers. So many vtubers are some kind of animal complete with ears and tails, but Cali picking a ringtail lemur is a step too far? Most of the vtubers are rocking a fursona essentially to be honest

lol i got no love for furries but making an ring tailed lemur cali model would be cute. shes obviously not a furry so i dont get why it scared people away.

I miss the twink... And its even more depressing because he graduated just before Holostars started getting traction.

Of course they're related.

Dedicating time in your podcast to slating the means by which Japanese YouTubers attempt to grow or expand their channel (I'm aware reaction channels are bottom of the barrel but it is what it is) is hypocritical when they essentially did the same to get to where they are now - being anime fans reacting to or reviewing anime content.

Ironically, these complaints are isolated and uploaded to their own clip channels in a way that makes them look like Gaijin reacting to Japanese culture.
I’m really trying to see the equivalence here but just can’t. I don’t watch their personal channels, but to my knowledge they didn’t grow by making videos called “White Man Reacts to Naruto”, they just made videos on their niche interest and grew in that small pond while also happening to be non-JP. It wasn’t their selling point so they’re within their right criticize other channels that try to sell their opinion based on the creator’s nationality.

Also their clips come off that way because the ARE gaijin reacting to JP culture, unless I’m missing something.

Dang. Sad that Sony unmasked the duo ClariS instead of let them continue on as Vsinger like how they did in the past decade or so.

I really should watch Ange stream more often. That's 10/10 character development right there.

This year June bride lineup didn't interest me much but now I might have to buy her goods just for shit and giggle.

Incredible wasted potential, wonder if that is why they decided to fatten Nijisanji with their money
Maybe it's just too early to judge, and I haven't had the time to actively follow them, but seems like Nijisanji EN didn't make a big of a splash as I thought they would. Which is a shame. I think they should've included a male VTuber in there but oh well.

For anybody who's watched LazuLight, what are each of the girl's selling points?
