The cancerous state of this thread is a symptom to a grave problem: that people just don't have as much trust in the elite as in the past and the elites appear to have gone out of their way to become more hated.

While stuff like the vaccine being the "mark of the beast" or how 5G is somehow related to Kung Flu is clearly fucking retarded, considering how keen censorship by Big Tech firms about anything that remotely deviates from what's deemed "Proven Science™". It wasn't long ago that stating the WuFlu may have leaked in a Chinese lab was seen as a "conspiracy theory" that implied that it was done deliberately. While it is possible that the CCP unleashed it as a bioweapon, the lab leak hypothesis doesn't necessarily imply that the China virus was intended as a bioweapon.

It also doesn't help that COVID restrictions don't seem to matter or are excusable when it is to "protest" in favor of a leftist cause and the endless lockdowns that have destroyed small businesses and have helped further entrench oligarch control. Not to mention that there are countless stories of the elite breaking their own restrictions they set for themselves.

While we don’t have a vaccine for AIDS, we HAVE been able to mitigate it to the point where people with HIV can live full normal lives. That’s still an accomplishment.

Edit: also coronavirus is not HIV, they’re drastically different, so being able to develop a vaccine for coronavirus in 16 years and not being able to develop one for AIDS in 37 is an apples to oranges comparison.

The problem with HIV is that the surface of the virion is just comprised of a random maze of proteins. Antibodies can't find anything useful to bind to. SARS-CoV-2 doesn't share this feature thankfully.

One interesting side effect of the mRNA vaccines is that they can cause lymphadenopathy really far away from the injection site and it shows up on radiologic imaging. Obviously this causes radiologists and oncologists to flip the fuck out.
