The magic is going to wear off fast once she leaves the hospital and her days consist of sitting in a wheelchair and staring at the walls of her slum apartment for 12 hours a day.
If she even gives herself time to get to that point. The second eyes are off her she pretty much immediately starts escalating, as shown nicely in this pic:
Which if I remember my timeline correctly was after she'd only been home again for a short while and is one of the last before she was back in the hospital again. (holy fuck I forgot about the stupid "sad" face and the fact that she got someone else to take this pic of her)
Same with her skin grafts which were healing beautifully and then as soon as she was out of the eyes of the hospital she started scratching them off (she even admits the start of them tearing was from scratching but later says it was the bechts re-emerging).
She just doesn't slow down enough for there ever to be those quiet moments where regret would creep in for most normal humans.
And it kinda looks like she's already training her roommate/best friend(?) to push her around and film her antics on demand so she may be able to keep herself entertained for a while, and when left alone if she gets a motorized wheelchair she'll probably be able to sustain herself off "mobility mary" esque
I guess what I'm trying to say is that the fleeting moments of real regret we've seen from her just aren't as predictable as they should be. While most people would find their minds racing at night as they lie in the dark silence with nothing but the sickness of regret welling in their chest, she's seeing how many virtual hugs and "ur so braves!!" her instagram has gotten, or on here seeing us all speculate on what comes next.
Consciously or not by the time all the buzzing slow downs and the spotlight fades she'll already have something new well in the works. Or, I guess I should say she always has in the past.
There's a small chance she may shake things up and break her pattern of attention seeking but I doubt it.
