This last one is complete horseshit put up by a 12 year old (either actually or mentally) who has never met real human beings.
Western culture DOES have time dedicated to grieving. The half-day for a funeral or a wake is the last public display of the body and sets when the family members can return to their own lives and privacy. In Western Culture many widows wear black for YEARS, and it's considered ill mannered to intrude upon a widow's grief. A widower's grief is considered never-ending, that will grieve that woman until the end of time. The grief of a parent losing a child or a child losing a parent is considered deep and impactful, leaving a mark upon the survivor for the rest of their lives.
When my father died my mother and all of us were devestated. My sisters drew together to form a wall around my mother, us boys took care of things so that she could grieve her husband of 30 years. Our wives and husbands were there to help us through our grief when it did not intrude upon our mother. His grandchildren were comforted in their grief that grampa was never coming home. My mother grieved my father until the day she died. Although it was a private thing, everyone in her social circle knew she was a widow and that it changed her entire life.
Grieving is a part of Western Culture. It is a deep part we don't look at closely, that we allow people to grieve in their own way (mine was getting drunk and fist fighting with my brothers) for as long as they need to.
This person has never lost anyone or known anyone who has lost someone they care about, or is a barely functioning sociopath.

From "walk it off, pussy" to a father teaching a son to get back on his feet or hold in the pain till the child can get medical help to a mother teaching a daughter to be calm and assess an injury, life is pain. Every human on earth who has a real existence more than logging onto Twitter and Tumblr is taught how to physically and psychically expel pain. Your friends teach you, your culture teaches you, your parents teach you, you even seek out ways to deal with pain.
Stoicism is a big one in Western Culture. You allow the pain to move through you, embrace it, then let it go to pass on so that you may endure it. To grit your teeth and take the pain. Western Culture prizes stoicism and the ability to rise above pain rather than act like an animal or revert to primal instincts.
This just shows that this person comes from such a privileged background they never had to learn pain processing techniques.
Maybe if they'd done some fucking chores they'd have learned.
Lastly? The part with the baby is fucking bullshit.
Self-soothe is some fucking weirdo shit that I only heard of recently. Is it true that sometimes babies are allowed to cry when they're frustrated and/or just cranky? Well, yeah. It used to be believed that it helped develop the lungs if you had checked every possible irritant that the baby might be experiencing then it was OK to let the baby cry while you held it or touched it. Babies rarely cry for no reason, even if the reason is just 'pay attention to me' which they will learn quickly can get them picked up. You soothe the infant, talk to it, touch it, and take care of it.
Fuck whoever wrote this.
Too many people over-coddle babies, and it's something that has only been addressed in the last few decades.
And trying to make a hunter-gatherer tribe's habit of carrying the baby constantly because they've gotta walk a couple hundred miles out to be some kind of special bonding technique with a baby just SMACKS of magical primitive bullshit.
You know why so many people shared responsibility for raising the baby? Because they were a primitive society that every able bodied person had to work to ensure the tribe survived.
Well, that and there's a good chance the mother had lived to the grand old age of 'died in childbirth' or the baby wouldn't live to see 5 years old.
This whole thing just smacks of some middle class white woman romanticizing native cultures without even being aware of her own culture.
