Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

When I was a kid there was a huge push for America's youth to stay active and get fit.
We lost the war on obesity so hard that the things you mentioned unironically would be considered hate speech today.
Funny story- I cracked open an urban survival handbook today and shockingly, the first chapter was devoted to caring for your body (exercise and healthy eating) and mind (mindfulness etc.) Almost as though not being a fatass will increase your chances of survival in almost all situations.

Sad but true. Hell, I even remember not too long ago in the 2000s when there was an obesity panic after the fallout of Morgan Spurlock's Supersize Me, whereupon McDonald's retired some of their staples such as Early Bird and The Hamburglar in order to stop appealing to children. There was a commercial I distinctly remember that depicted Ronald riding bikes with kids to promote an active lifestyle (this was circa 2006).

Now the trend seems to be smaller chains or local burger joints with the big, greasy burgers and loaded fries.

That number includes countries with a civilised population and healthcare. The death rate in the US is 1.8%

Maybe you should bring up some more twitter posts to prove me wrong.
That's CFR value, which only reflects the pool of "known cases" that are positive following a test.

If you did that with the flu, the number would be even higher (because very few people are actually tested/confirmed with the virus)

The correct value would be the IFR (where the denominator is an estimation of the number of infections) ...

Every day, I find a new reason why my disdain for the Experts™️ is completely justified.

Now we've gone full 180 where being a land whale is seen as a protected class and any valid health criticisms for having that sort of physique is bigotry. What a time.

Speaking of experts, recently one of our Branch Covidian priests found a study that forced him to admit 20% reduction in R-value from saisonality, now another study surfaced that forced another to admit 40% reduction.
Both "scientists" who have claimed with absolute certainty that saisonality will have no significant effect.

/edit: The Branch Covidians have already reconciled it and are now even more scared of autumn when the numbers will rise again.
At least they won't be surprised this time.

New Delta Variant Symptoms

According to the new Zoe COVID Symptom study, the delta variant can feel “more like a bad cold” for young people who catch it.
The main symptoms reported with the delta variant in the U.K. include:
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • Runny nose

New covid is just flu/cold.

Are you ready for next lockdowns?

No even better... new Covid is seasonal allergies.

I'd better enjoy my fake freedom while I still can. Our days are numbered. I'll be under house arrest again before long.

I understand that, which is why I said that I'm happy to accept the true mortality rate at closer to 1%.

It's no big secret that America dropped the ball in many ways when it came to the response of the virus. Late shut downs of international travel, over-burdened hospitals, government lies helping to create the anti-mask hysteria, basically no financial support forcing people to keep working, poor early tests, poor education and so on. Not to mention a generally unhealthy population, and you get high deaths. The global CFR/IFR cannot be compared to the US's.

That's flawed thinking.

You can then postulate the mortality rate for Influenza is about the same (considering very few confirmed cases are actually reported)

From the worldometers casedemic page ...

Sort the death rates by country, and find the U.S. is barely in the top 20 (including 15 from Europe)

Your memory is also weak as the U.S. was the first western country to shut down air travel from China on Jan 31st

Unless everyone wore Respirators (or P95 as a minimum), the equivalent of a sock or tissue over your face isn't going to protect you from shit.
The virus is much fucking smaller than any dirt or bacteria, that it might stop.
Even Fauci said masks were a waste of time for the general public (before he got bullied to change his mind)

I agree the U.S. has got more than it's fair share of fat and chronically ill fucks, but it's got nothing to do with the government.

Lockdowns started with Authoritarian China (it had never been done on this scale in recorded history), and only worked with countries that could both shut down borders and lock down nearly the entire population in their houses for prolonged periods, on a dime.

The biggest mistake that the U.S. and many westerns counties did, was not to allow the development of early treatment protocols. And only used reactive supportive care (when your blood oxygen levels reached a dangerous threshold), mainly consisting of being hooked up to a respirator and some pain/and anti-inflammatory meds

Alright, so basically I've been offered Pfizer for my brothers and I, I would have rather taken something less experimental but cases are spiking in my city cause we just got our first wave essentially. While I'm not to keen on being a lab monkey of some pharmafucks, I am a paranoid man and want to give it the benefit of the doubt. Anybody have some kind of pros vs cons arguements, hopefully with some literature or sources to back them up, so I can weigh my options?

I'm in my mid-twenties and am largely healthy and not fat, although I haven't been exercising much lately and I vape a lot cause I quit smoking during the pandemic, so I'm not sure if I'll make it unscathed if I roll the dice and catch it. I also work from home but lately the lack of socialization has been getting to me. If I don't get this Pfizer shit now, I'll prolly have to wait another two months for either the China shit or Aztra. What do you guys think? Should I risk potential long-term side effects or should I just wait it out?

It's fine dude. Just inject yourself with spike proteins and die from a heart attack like Hank Aaron, DMX, and Vivekh/

Why do you need the shot again?

Why do you need the shot again?
Mostly cause my country is getting overrun and I'm not confident in 3rd world medicine getting me by. My parents are getting all scared cause their doctor friends are telling them that the variant here is like harder to resist, but I haven't seen anything that confirms that even exists. Sure I prolly won't die but I don't wanna have like respiratory shit, especially since I was a smoker for a while. I'm just making my risk vs rewards analysis on whether I should get it since it's being offered to me.

I'm doing my own research but it's just showing me articles and studies of scientists sucking Pfizer off as the best there is. You autistic cunts know what's up and where to find the real juicy info, so I turn to you guys for questions. Just wanna cover my bases is all.

The vaccines are also a roll of the dice. Do you really want a 1-in-3000 (or so) risk of heart inflammation or other negative circulatory effects, let alone unknown long-term damage? For all we know, taking the vaccine might give you an elevated risk of Alzheimer's or Parkinson's another 40-50 years down the road. And also consider the number of people your age who have awful days-long reactions that they describe as worse than the disease itself was.

Only vaccine that seems acceptable is the Chinese one (IIRC the Russian one might be okay too) since it's minimally effective at slowing the spread and preventing symptoms but otherwise is basically a placebo. China isn't fucking with this tech for a reason, because they know the minute risks of some major disaster isn't worth it.

The best option for you--and anyone under 50 who isn't obese, diabetic, etc.--is to get more exercise (30 minutes a day outside walking, or 150 minutes a week) and make sure you're taking vitamin D and zinc. You're probably deficient in vitamin D anyway. If you're taking it consistently before you even catch the virus, statistically you'll recover sooner and it won't be as bad. Best part about catching the virus is you have something far better than a sketchy vaccine, you have an immune system now fine-tuned to deal with Chinkflu.

Outdoor masks canceled in France as of tomorrow, curfew lifted on Sunday. As Macron doubles down on forcing teens to be vaccinated and perpetuating the QR code/government surveillance notebook nonsense for the "privilege" of going into a restaurant. I will feel sympathy for NO restauranteurs who lose business or go under after meekly agreeing to this bullshit.

Am wondering if a fake name in the notebook/cell phone in a Faraday sleeve/parking around the corner/payment in cash approach at restaurants will be enough to stay off the government list, in Second Life of course.

I'm actually on Ivermectin and I take a lot of Vitamin D and Z and Zinc, so honestly I'm pretty protected but I feel like I have weak lungs cause of smoking. I'm just at this point where I'm thinking that they're all gonna have to force us to take it anyway if we're gonna be let back in to society. I had plans before all this shit went down, like trying for a new career or getting a masters in something and traveling around, savoring my youth before I'm too old for that shit, all of which will probably require some Chinkflu vaccine that isn't the Chink one (cause as far as I know a lot of airlines don't accept that shit as a good vaccine).

It's just wearing me down bros, I thought I could live like a rat in a cage for a while but one year looking at the same four walls just isnt cutting it for me anymore. I feel like I'm regressing onto the path of becoming a fat piece of shit loser NEET and I wanna avoid that shit at all costs. I've seen enough threads on here to know where that goes and I'm not gonna be one of them.

The vaccination won't give your civil liberties back. Take it if you really need it and if it prevents you from gaining any meaningful employment in society (because not everyone is cut for living off-the-grid). Take it only for practical reasons and don't give in to peer pressure because, despite the website we're on, shaming and peer pressure have never been an effective tool for the moderation of impulses and improvement.

It only teaches people to hide their imperfections, instead of working on them.
