Rockstar just announced that GTA Online for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 Will Shut Down on December 16, 2021.
Along with LA Noire for PS3 and 360 and Max Payne 3 online services.

Damn shame, I have been meaning to try all of Max Payne 3. I suppose that's why they didn't make it BC on Xbox One.

Now I'm wondering why not GTA IV, Table Tennis and Red Dead Redemption. I guess because it's on Xbox One's BC services.

Personally, they should just pull the plug. Both games have a low population AND riddled with hackers on console.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't even play GTA IV Online on PC anymore due to Rockstar Games Services taking over for Games for Windows Live right?

It is a bit confusing why they're still letting it chug along on console.

I’ve never even played L.A. Noire or Max Payne 3 online since I always thought they were single player games, but the fact that they still had GTA Online ongoing for PS3/X360 seems like they don’t care for the poor console gamers that much.

This post screams condescension when you analyze it. Meanwhile, posters like this will stay quiet when you try to question them as to why we need more random GTA Online updates, while we still don’t get any clue as to if they are working on GTA VI.
I'm honestly shocked people here actually want GTA VI to be worked on after the E3 debacle. I thought you all knew better?

At this point I couldn't care less.

The religious right doesn't get much airplay, likely in part due to Pastor Richards being cut, though LCS has a nice line from "Nurse Bob" about sex being an unnatural act.
Oh come on, who doesn't want to buy a cubicle in the Pastor Richards Salvation Statue?

I haven't played PS3 version in a coons age, but didn't it retain the fun free roam random content (random drops, armored truck attacks, shooting down smuggler planes) that Rockstar for some reason thought was worth throwing out in exchange for shitty Free Roam Events (staying in a bubble for five minutes, chasing some guy down, etc. etc.)?

PS3/360 were probably the best versions of Online to play since they stopped updating them long before they threw in bullshit business battles and griefer toys.
