That's always been there throughout history, likely. I'm sure soldiers coming back from WW1 wanted to punch the living shit out of the fucks who managed to avoid going and waved flags in their faces in celebration of winning.

I just call them Sunday Christians, since the are the same sort of image manipulating hypocrites, and I noticed it in the 60s. Maybe because of the Internet it seems new or has gotten worse (it has definitely become more unabashedly brazen), because it used to be people you knew or encountered somehow, but now it's people from all across the globe.

The more I think about it the more I gotta give lolcow DSP credit, he was asked once if he could have a superpower what would it be and he said he'd want to be able to materialize a fist through anything that had a screen, monitors, phones, tablets and punch the person on the other side. It took awhile to think how that would be awesome to have but the more I'm on this thread the more I get it. Punching someone through their phone would be awesome.

This was me during the pandemic last year. Be walking home from wage slave shit job, having to walk by the CHAZ and at 8pm on the dot the Seattle soyboy tech ppl who get to stay home all day come outside and cheer for us for 10 minutes during their vape break.
