I remember when the Lockpicking Lawyer had a video where he was sent a locked package by a fan, and upon opening it, turns out this fan had sent him a pair of (hopefully unused) panties. He very politely - but extremely icily - explained that he was married and this sort of thing was very inappropriate (he must be a good lawyer, because I've never heard such restrained anger said so calmly). The video's comments on the matter were pretty much unanimous in that the "fan" was messed up and weird, and everyone laughed at them.

That is what a healthy fanbase looks like, and how a competent Youtuber reacts when a fan behaves inappropriately. Dream would probably just write back and thank his kitten for her donation...and maybe joke that he'd have a challenge where George would have to wear them if he lost.

I think MCYT and all the other untermenschen (or unterfrauen) hate Schlatt because he hasn't changed his comedy, which has been past the edge and on the other side for someone at his size in Youtube, and also genuinely does not give a fuck about them. Instead of saying how great his fans are and constantly bending to their wills, he barely posts on Twitter and seems to not care. Also he's actually funny, and if there's anything people like stans hate, its someone who is as normal as them and more talented.

His sense of humor was idolized by TommyInnit, who originally invited him to the DreamSMP and Sapnap whitelisted him. Apparently this was done without Dream's consent and his stans were irked by Schlatt's presence even back then, so of course Dream bowed down to them, and Schlatt got swiftly banned.

That whole situation was being brought up frequently, and Wilbur, writer of the DreamSMP script at the time, who knew Schlatt from the SMPLive days, wrote him into the story as a villain president. And why would he refuse being part of such a goldmine? It worked well and he had a strong sense of personality, that went missing after his character died. Now everyone is all over the place aimlessly doing their own thing and the content is too stale to bother with. I think Quackity (who was cancelled for speaking his native language) is trying to make it entertaining now.
