I said I wished Tommy would hurry up and get his damn disks back so the smp could finally end and I was informed that apparently he already did, back in January. On top of that Dream, as the main villain, was also "defeated", so why is it still going on at this point if the central conflict's already been resolved? Is it solely because of whatever Quackity is doing?

Given how the SMP itself is the least problematic part of MCYT, I'm fairly certain it's going to be the opposite situation. The SMP will probably be continuing in some form or another even after the creators start losing popularity.

I still can't wrap my head around how anyone, even a kid like Tommy, would care or be emotionally affected by a bunch of randoms on Twitter who have no power and no influence over their lives at all.

To be fair, those twitter randoms are either threatening him for daring to associate with someone they don't like, or they're writing and drawing deranged erotica about him. He probably also knows that those sorts of maniacs have a very real chance of finding out where he lives, as several others in the MCYT sphere have already been doxxed.

I certainly wouldn't blame him for being affected by what those randoms do.

It'll definitely stagger along ala zombie simpsons, but a lot of people will echo the sentiment of "remember when the Dream SMP was around? Yeah, it went down the drain when that Tommy guy left,"

To relate this back to Clayton, how does he expect this SMP to survive beyond Tommy? If he keeps up what he's doing the kid and his friend group, the few that have actual charisma on the server, are most likely going to leave and take the viewers with them, leaving only the most dedicated of stans. Even the more normal stans will stop watching because they're obsessed with Dream, but Dream doesn't stream. He keeps inviting more people in an attempt to douse the fire, like that fuckin "MichaelMcChill" guy or whatever from recently, but he's not inviting anyone who either isn't cardboard (Michael) or in Tommy's friend group (Slimecicle). It must really hurt Clayton's ego that his big SMP hinges on a fucking 17 year old.

It’s so weird how Clayton seems to have it stuck in his head that he made these people. They were already successful and climbing up in the world, he just accelerated an inevitable process. For an entire series based around dynamics of the characters/people over the plot usually, he doesn’t seem to get the characters/his friends at all.

Even off the story, he doesn’t understand that the dynamic is what made them successful, not the fact that they were associated and that brought about their fame. It was the chemistry. Chemicals don’t start reactions until you make them get in contact with one another, and relationships in stories and in real life work the same way too.

There’s so much he doesn’t say that speaks just as loud for him, and it’s hyper-abundantly clear that he believes he’s the star of the show when at best he’s a host.

Tommy is by far the biggest streamer on it and Clay streams the least out of all of them as mentioned many times on this thread before. how does what you say show that it is all his responsibility and his fault?
