An in-law of mine, has to be in her 80s, barely mobile, smokes like a chimney, with a multitude of cycling medical issues that her son has to help her with like a carousel tested positive like a month ago.
She was chilling on her walker yesterday watching him weld pipe. This virus is the most overblown shit I've ever heard of.

My sister-in-law got it and did almost die, but her body is so completely wrecked by previous illnesses that it's a wonder she survives a common cold. It gave her the classic pneumonia symptoms, so once they figured out what was going on, they gave her a massive dose of steroids and put her on a cpap for a few days. Cleared right up.
You probably won't be surprised to learn that she's also fat.
Shit like this is why I hope uk.gov holds firm on not vaccinating children. I don't want my nieces and nephews to drop dead from avoidable shit. Give us that small measure of mercy, Boris, you abject cunt.

With the vaccines we're conducting a unique experiment involving hundred of millions, if not billions, of test subjects. For the first time in medical history we're administering non sterilizing vaccines to treat a highly contagious respiratory virus. The vaccines are being sold essentially as preventatives. Yes you will still catch the coof and spread it to others but you won't get as sick and you won't end up in hospital. Is this true? We should all hope it's not because if it is it means we're skewing the environment to favor more deadly variants. It's the non sterilizing nature of the vaccines that's the issue not viral resistance (?) or even mutability.
I'd agree but the Covid hysteria is not limited to the US, it's global. There's a few countries that don't give many fucks, some parts of Africa and Asia (too poor to worry), but almost everywhere else has been swept up in the lunacy, usually in a much bigger way than even the coastal parts of the US. Interestingly the few places in the western world that have shown strong resistance to the hysteria are all American. Florida had a brief partial lockdown and then said fuck that. South Dakota never locked down. The other red states like Texas have led the rest of the country out of the madness. I think in the US the Covid cult is on it's last legs, and we all should be grateful.
What's fascinating, and honestly worrying, is the fixation on vaccination. The dumb bitch from the previous post who still drones on about da science and offering her own kid up for the jab when her nephew has his heart exploded from being injected with poison. Yes this mindset is fucking everywhere.
I think it's beginning to dawn on a LOT of people that there's something maybe a little off about the vaccines. That they've taken risks with their long term health that they didn't factor in when they rushed to the clinic to get the jab. Buyers remorse sure, but also they're in the denial phase, their hind brain is telling them, they know it in their bones, but they won't admit it to themselves.
Rationally a vaccinated person should give no fucks whether or not someone else has had their shots. You're protected so why do you care?
But when they see the non vaccinated going about their lives like it was 2019 they become irrationally angry. Not only have they been injected with an experimental gene therapy that may cause them to die earlier they're not receiving expected social status from doing so, Where are the vaccine passports? Why aren't the un-vaccinated being asked to show their papers when they go to a movie theater or restaurant? How come they get to live like me, I've put my ass on the line, it's not fair!

I actually do agree with this, and I should have thought about it.
A lot of people have the idea that "if I had to suffer then IT'S NOT FAIR unless everyone else suffers as well."
There is something to the fact that the unvaccinated just get to move on the same way as the vaccinated, when the media has told them how evil the "anti-vaxxers" are, and now in their minds they are getting away scot-free.

Anshe Ha-Emet (People of the Truth) a fellowship, composed of Israeli doctors, lawyers and citizens, filed a complaint against the government national “medical experiment” without the informed consent of the citizens. Attorneys Ruth Makhachovsky and Aryeh Suchowolski filed the complaint stating:
“When the heads of the Ministry of Health as well as the prime minister presented the vaccine in Israel and began the vaccination of Israeli residents, the vaccinated were not advised, that, in practice, they are taking part in a medical experiment and that their consent is required for this under the Nuremberg Code”.

A friend of mine in the UK mentioned that two of his elderly relatives (one of them was an aunt or something) had died of the virus within a few weeks of each other.
Also, in my workplace (~7500 employees), we got a company-wide email when one person died of C19. He wasn’t especially old (like, fifties). Apparently my union rep knew him.
I do personally know two people who’ve had to close businesses due to lockdown. But they were both kinda looking for reasons to shut up shop anyway, and this was just fortunately timed.
