Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

>girl with mutton chops
I guess when someone at Disney/LF said: "if you want to write a strong woman, write her like man", they took it literally.

Who does this kind of shit? Its creepy if nothing else. Reminds me of an incident my aunt went through at a hotel once where she was approached by some weird girls and asked if she and her daughter-in-law were a couple. Imagine having some complete stranger go up to you and start crying without even knowing who you are.
Slightly off-topic unfortunately this have been a major long running problem for single fathers (divorcees, widowers) traveling any where with their children. With always the threat of moral dogooder busybodies nearby assuming he's a pedo and calls the LEO's on him or worse cause they didn't see a "mother" with them.

That would be TCW, and yes Filoni does work with others. At least he can work well with others unlike some other EU author I won't mention.........

Er, no he isn't. The characters he has, the normies like, and the more he gives them what they want, the more they get wet and want for more. Nothing Dave has done can ever come close to how other EU characters got sodomized.

Not really. People actually wanted more of TCW, which Dave obliged by giving them the Bad Batch. Also, the later seasons of TCW were more under Dave's control. Notice how things like pacifist Mandalorians began to disappear in the later seasons, replaced solely by warrior Mandos that Dave and Jon Favreau love to put on. And the fact that Ahsoka walked away unscathed in Season 5 and survived the Clone Wars in Season 7 was a clear sign that Lucas lost control in the later seasons of the show. Lucas would have probably killed her in the later seasons of the show to set up Anakin's inevitable fall. Maybe in Seasons 5 or 6.

Not from what I'm seeing on Youtube and online. Fan reaction has been OK so far, even though the plot makes little sense to me.

Compared to how the KOTOR fanbase reacted to SWTOR, or how fans of novel characters from the OT EU reacted to Legacy of the Force and the later EU set in that timeline, YES, Filoni is an improvement. As I said, he's nowhere near the level of James Luceno or the better EU authors, but what he lacks in style, he more than makes up for in fanservice, which is raking in both views and money.

Because as an EU fan, I'm a battered fanboy who has nothing more to lose. I envy the Ahsoka fans and the fans of the Filoniverse who actually get what they asked for. We asked for KOTOR 3 and more Revan for years, and they respond to us with an MMO that has Revan be put down like a dog with rabies. We wanted more adventures with Mara Jade and Jacen Solo, and one gets stuffed in the fridge like a side character from a comic book, while the other gets turned into a worse version of Anakin with even less reasons to turn evil before being put down like Old Yeller. At this point, disappointment is in our blood. Even before Disney came in and told us to fuck ourselves. Hey, at least they were honest about it.
Saddly thats why I been agreeing with you alot. Filoni may be making the star wars universe smaller which I don't like. But in the end of the day he still treats his fans right. Unlike other creators by the time clone wars were being made Filoni had introduced more people to star wars expanded universe. Hence what I mean by normies. When the Clone Wars movie and the cartoon series came out l. It was available to everyone to watch.

Meanwhile other EU writers were pissing off long time fans away. There only a few good writers left like the Clone Wars comic writers who hadn't pissed people off.

Like I said no one made any stories of jania Solo after she killed Jacen and got married. Fans hated what happen to Jacen and who Jania married. Since said character was a garbage character. So EU creators decided to not write any stories about her anymore.

So here you have Filoni who was gaining more and more control of the Clone wars. Who had created news star wars fans who wanted more form him and his characters. Clone Wars could have been easily not made canon like other EU works. But they didn't because they saw all the fans the show had that they kept Filoni onboard.

Also it's clear Filoni does have parts of the EU he loves. For instance him bringing back Jango's orginal backstory after Lucas decided to ignore it.

I haven't watch any star wars since the madelorian after Gina was fired. So you can't call me a consumer. Like you I am quite aware that Filoni isn't the spawn of Satan who destroyed star wars. Before him other writers were pissing off fans of certain star wars works long before him.

>no one made any stories of jania Solo after she got married.

What in gibbering retardation are you talking about? Jaina Solo didn't get married until the last scene of the last book of the last chronological series. That was literally one of the last things to happen in the EU right before Disney purged everything.

And lol no, the writers absolutely were making stories with Jaina after Jacen died...it was called Fate of the Jedi. And Crucible. And there was an entire series about Jaina Solo called Sword of the Jedi that was scheduled to be written right before the Legends declaration. Which would have dealt with Jaina post-marriage.

You make it sound like the writers killed Jacen off and got Jaina married in the same series, and then they decided never to feature her again.

...when that's not even remotely what happened.

Fans hated what happen to Jacen and who Jania married. Since said character was a garbage character.
Fans hated that Jaina got married to Jag Fel? Fucking what?

I don't know where you're getting your information from, but this is literally how you spot someone who hasn't read one page of the EU, or knows the overall consensus of the fandom.

Even the people who hated LOTF and FOTJ to its very core were fans of Jag and Jaina being together...that was a pairing everyone had been shipping since NJO, back in the fucking early 2000's. If anything, people were upset with any attempts at trying to pry them apart and ship her with someone else. That's what happened when Troy Denning was trying to disrupt that romance by shipping her with Zekk in Dark Nest, which swiftly led to backlash and him course-correcting it by putting Jaina and Jag back together in the next two subsequent series.

I mean, is this how bad the Filoni Faggotry has gotten on this thread, that we're just gonna start making up shit about the EU that never even happened?

If you're going to try to elevate Filoni by using the controversies of the later EU, you should do yourself a favor by actually researching what those controversies actually were, and what pissed the fandom off. Not the ones you imagined or were told about online by a faulty source.

So EU creators decided to not write any stories about her anymore.

Jaina was a principle character all throughout FOTJ. Hell, the half of the last book is literally her ripping ass alongside Luke to defend the Jedi Temple against an army of Sith. And again, I must reiterate: she was scheduled to have her own fucking series set in the aftermath.

You know, I often see Disney Drones mindlessly use the EU as some kind of scapegoat in order to defend the ST, often inadvertently showcasing how painfully little knowledge of the EU they actually have in the process. But I rarely Filoni Fags embrace the same tactic.

I know TCW is a show for children, so the kind of audience it attracts has a reading level that's not particularly high, but for the love of God, try actually reading the books instead of talking out of your ass.

What in the goddamn happened to the last few pages?

Also, to the autists who like Dave Filoni and whatever he's producing these days: Stop. You are allowed to like Filoni. Nobody actually cares if you do or do not. (Well, maybe we do, but this is Kiwifarms and we're all mean bad people who says the gamer-word on a daily basis). You don't need to justify your reasons to like him, but the mental gymnastics to try and defend him and his works is bordering on embarrassing and repetitive at this point.

I think we can all agree on this:
a) Filoni's (and Favreau) work is the best of what nu-Wars has to offer
b) TCW is well-received by normies
c) Filoni is likely to helm more projects for nu-Wars, given his financial success.

With that out of the way, I have consistently maintained my stance that the hack fraudster Filoni is overrated, and it warms the cold cockles of my heart that more and more people see him for the hack he is. TCW is an inferior version of Gennedy's Clone Wars, and Ahsoka will always be a mistake.

Did the New Republic continue to use Imperial Land vehicles? Namely the Walkers like the AT-AT and the AT-ST. Would they be painted white and red?
Yeah, and they were brought up in NJO and a few guides. However it was stated that they were now considered obsolete, as the New Republic had more hover tanks than walkers (seemingly preferring light and speedy vehicles), plus hover tanks are less likely to trip over logs or get tangled by cables... so they were made part of "planetary defenses" or labor forces. So we never really got to see them, at least as far as I can recall, except some descriptions in NJO and the Thrawn Trilogy, and in the latter they were used as part of the work force and the carriers for the Nomad City operation.

Although you can't make them out well underneath that massive behemoth.

I assume that like with New Republic Star Destroyers, they also got smoothened out and given red streaks, or they just slapped the New Republic emblem somewhere on them.

What’s up with the rumors the Inquisitors might show up in the Kenobi series?
Its mostly rumors and I've been seeing a lot of inconsistencies about them so its hard to say. All that is certain is that an actress, Moses Ingram, teased her "lightsaber training" and some popular leakfag claims that she told him that she really would be an inquisitor but even he's dubious about her claim.
That's about it. This has caused all sorts of shit to pop up, but the only ones I'm likely to believe, even if they were made up, are the claims that the show will bring back a lot of Filoni's inquisitors from Rebels as nuKenobi's recurring antagonists hunting him down on Tatooine, because that's the kind of cameo wank we've come to expect. All this does though is raise further problems, unless they plan to have Vader never interact with Kenobi and send his inquisitors down to get force sensitives to preserve ANH's continuity, but even then that just raises further questions as to why his Inquisitors never told him his former master/arch-nemesis was down there or why he didn't just go down there and kill nuKenobi himself. Unless they plan to make Anakin's phobia of sand an actual reason why he doesn't want to go back to Tatooine in nu-canon, which is fine by me since all that does is cause even more continuity errors with Disney shit.

Holy fuck, I almost want that rumor about the Inquisitors to be real, if for no other reason than to see their stupid, retarded helicopter sabers in live-action. They already looked so embarassingly silly in animation...just imagine how monumentally stupid they would look in live-action form.

And the amount of normies bearing witness to that, who have only seen the live-action shit...oh, man. It'll be like Maul turning up in Solo, but so much worse.

This needs to fucking happen.

Only if Inspector Gadget music is played in the background. "Go, go, Gadget Genocide!"

Yeah. Hovertanks in general are more useful, unless you run into a Force Field. The Republic Military seems to have it's gear designed around the experience from Naboo where the MTTs and AATs couldn't penetrate the Gungan shields.

If the Empire made one mistake was to retire the AT-TEs and the gunships. It would have been interesting to see iterations for that concept over the years. That would have made the Empire forces much more agile and flexible, which could have negated some of the Rebel advantage when it comes to maneuver. Of course the exposed gunner on the top of the vehicle was pretty dumb. I can imagine the most unpopular clone in the squad getting the "privilege" to sit there.

Or perhaps it was a homage to how old WW2 American tanks had the MG on the turret set up in a way that you needed to stand outside to use it.

Edit: I know of the Tarkin doctrine, but I think the officer corps and the military simply took it too literally. If you can have a bazillion TIE fighters, you can argue for a hoard of Walkers and gunships to be used in battle to be an overwhelming force.

I finished the Plagueis novel over the weekend (definitely worth reading) and decided to watch the Phantom Menace again for kicks. It made me think back to first seeing it in '99 and how I wasn't sure if Palpatine and Sidious were the same person.

Then I wondered if I was the only one who was retarded, until I found this 23 year old thread on the topic
I mean for some reason i thought Sifo Diyas and Maul were the same person
