Ladies, Ladies, you’re both pretty. Quit arguing.
Different outlook on the situation, former Lunch Club/CMC fan here:
There’s certain people in the friend group you can definitely tell were tryin to save their asses.
One of which is Noah Hugbox, which is unsurprising given how he’s an edge lord and considers himself the enemy of the internet or some shit like that. Noah went to Keemstar, of all people, dragging along Travis who didn’t have much to say so he could have some sort of support while exposing Carson. He later went on an angry rant on stream, seemingly projecting onto the other members that “none of them were friends with Carson.”
Things to know about Noah, he was never the most popular of the group and was constantly overshadowed. After the drama, he tried to drag creators in the group that were more popular than him, by accusing them of never being friends of Carson in the first place, succeeding in sticking those weird CMC stans on them.
He definitely was only around Carson for his popularity, and only exposed him in an attempt to get more popular.
Next up is Slimecicle, who made a statement about how he was disgusted about the situation and cut all ties with Carson after figuring out what happened around the beginning of 2020.
However, his statement was a lie, as he was involved in a game show Carson did in June of 2020, which would have been more than a few months after they found out. The fact he lied about that, is kind of telling why he jumped ship.
I don’t know enough about how the others, like TedNivison and stuff took it, since he mainly retweeted the statements and left it at that. However, there were some people who were obviously shaken because they were close to Carson, and denying it is just autistic.
Jawsh was Carson’s real life friend, they’ve been friends for the longest time, since before Carson became big. It’s honestly undeniable that they were close friends of many years.
Jawsh has recently started answering questions on Instagram about Carson, and in one he claims that he would rather be struck by lightning than associate with Carson again.

Considering what Carson did was a betrayal of trust, he has every reason to pack it up and leave. I’m sure there was more reasons, like the fact that Jawsh was never a part of Lunch Club even though he was Carson’s friend, that must have hurt him quite a bit, but when someone you’re close to and you care about betrays your trust after they tell you “I’ll stop doing that, don’t worry.” that honestly can hurt hard and then you feel like you can’t be around that person because of how easily they lied to you.
Everyone knows how Schlatt handled the situation, and his reason for walking away is for the same reasons. Loss of trust. There’s a lot of instances that back up Schlatt’s story. Last year, Schlatt would join Carson in a vc a few times, and be unaware that he was streaming, going on a ramble about the stream he was previously on before immediately snapping back into character after asking Carson if he was streaming. Schlatt mentions in his video how they spent a lot of time with Carson and would stay up through the night with him, the fact that they apparently had, not a stream designated discord, but a discord for friends where Schlatt thought they were all just hanging out and chilling is just an indicator of Schlatt being honest with his story. Also, an added fact is that Schlatt was pretty worn out when he joined, but yet he still did. If he didn’t care about Carson, he wouldn’t have joined the VC.
Another thing is, TheWeeklySlap is supposed to be Schlatt’s honest side, it’s where he puts on display his humanity and drops the character. He shares his stories and helps other people with things there. I highly doubt he would tarnish the reputation of that channel with a blatant lie. Again, it’s honestly relatively easy to tell that the thing that hurt most about the situation, was the betrayal of trust.
Also since that incident, he’s began to turn into an alcoholic of sorts, getting shitfaced drunk during a
charity stream and having to call an Uber home. It’s honestly not a bit to chug an entire bottle of tequila/any alcoholic drink, something is clearly messed up in his mind.
I doubt anyone is saying that everyone only left Carson because they were disgusted by his actions and trying to be a moralfag. Obviously there are some people who leeched off of him and dipped once they saw controversy, and who could blame them? That’s their career at stake.
But, it’s also a bit unfair to assume that everyone had the same mindset when there’s significant backstory and other things pointing to the fact that they really cared about Carson and were blindsided by him in return. I don’t watch all the members anymore, but apparently cscoop fell into a depression after finding out Carson lied and manipulated him, and Travis has quit streaming. If that’s true, I doubt that happened because they were “cutting ties to save their ass.”
Some of them wanted to save their career, and some of them truly cared. And that’s the long and short of it.
