Carson King / CallMeCarson / CallMeCarsonYT - Minecraft YouTuber, trades nudes with underage fans

Carson is a fucking idiot if he thinks coming back is a good idea. I don't say this in the sense of "oh he's a pedo for poking an underaged girl". I say this, because he got backstabbed by his so called "friends" from his shitty youtube group. How he thinks he can come back and ignore the people who happily threw him under the bus without care is beyond me. He should take whatever he earned and find something better to do with it.

Carson isn't funny. But if he can organize another group of people funnier than him like before and make videos on par with his backlog, I'll watch.

Everyone calling Schlatt a backstabber is fucking retarded.

I know people like Carson. His friends wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, cause that's what they were taught by school (muh anti-bullying), and it bit them in the ass when the kid they were being a rock for turned out to be a weirdo creep. I can't speak for the other guys, but Schlatt backstabbing anyone would be the most contradictory thing to someone's character I've seen in a lonnnnnnnng time. Clearly you lot haven't watched anything this crew has made, yet you're formulating pretty strong opinions of them.

If I can tell from watching ~10 videos in total from these guys that you're all full of it to a large extent, maybe do like 2 minutes of research, instead of blindly accepting whatever the consensus on the farms is. How many times this thread do people have to tell you speds this? How many times in any of these accusation threads do we have to tell you this? Cancel culture doesn't exist solely due to twitter. This whole culture of jumping to conclusions and acting like you did your research out of insecurity is why cancel culture exists, and twitter is just an extreme example of that.

I wouldn't be surprised if many of them are backstabbers, but this shitshow is nowhere near enough evidence to solidify that theory.

If you can gain actual insight into the actual personality and quality of character of these people from watching some videos of them goofing around in minecraft or whatever other flavour of the month game they were playing then you're a fucking psychic my dude and you're wasting your gifts on here. You could probably get a TV show with your skills.
You can't tell if one of these retards backstabbing someone else is contradictory to their character because you can't tell what someone is actually like through funny haha minecraft youtube videos. It's absurd to think any of these idiots are showing an honest portrayal of themselves, this is how they make a living

The only person I gave insight on was Schlatt, and that's because it's very clear that the only mask he's wearing is the 'I'm a /pol/ack but I gotta hide my powerlevel from the normies' one. He used to be a septic for fuck's sake.

You're second paragraph is nearly verbatim one of my points, but with a dumb conclusion. There's not enough evidence to call anyone a backstabber.

Also, I am not making my judgement purely based on the vids I have watched. I am slightly older than them. I know what we were all taught in school, and we were taught to be accepting of everyone. In previous generations Carson wouldn't even have friends, yet these kids gave him a chance. Either they're absolute scumbag redditor virtue signallers, or they're the literal opposite of backstabbers.

Calling someone you know nothing about a backstabber, for not wanting to associate anymore with a creepy weirdo, is fucking retarded.

Carson's most popular video has about 18 million views, they weren't giving him a chance they saw an opportunity to further their careers and it worked. They made themselves wildly popular using him and then when he ran into shit they ditched him because they probably didn't even like him in the first place. It's pretty naive to think schlatt is any different just because he plays up the diet chan shit and acts somewhat reasonable

They didn't all meet because of Carson. Carson is nowhere near the most famous member of the group. What are you talking about?
If you can't tell that Schlatt wears his heart on his sleeve after a single video then I really doubt your ability to read people.

Your messiah JSchlatt's most viewed video has about 6.9 million views and that's the highest out of what I cared to look for. He might not be the most famous out of the group but he's the most famous relative to anyone relevant here in this thread, I really don't give a shit if some faggot he interacted with once or twice has a couple more views.
Do you really honestly believe some guy on youtube (schlatt) would actually wear his heart on his sleeve? Do you really think you can get a good read on him as a person from edited videos where he's always going to look good? You ever hear that saying that you have a face you show to the world, a face you show to close friends and family and a face only you know? There's a reason that exists and the only category out of those any of us fit into is the first one

You're acting as if every single person is evil, and that there can't be rare exceptions to the rule. He may have some secrets, but yes, I think I got a pretty good idea for what he's like. He's very transparent imo, and reminds of Vic Mignogna & Jerma (just with neutered edgy humor).

Also, you obviously don't know who Wilbur is, which is hilarious considering he has double the subscribers of Carson.

This is why I find you people ridiculous. You jump to all these conclusions based on assumptions you've made about all of society, while not even understanding basic contextual points about the situations your so opinionated on. Why do you do it? Is it convenient for you or something?

Who said I was acting like the were being evil. They were being fucking human, abandoning a fat fuck you don't even like when he gets accused of being a pedo is common sense even if it's all bullshit. They'd already got what they wanted from him, which was popularity. That isn't evil. Being involved with a pedo or someone who was accused of being one (even wrongfully) can tend to be harmful to one's career.
And you don't have a good idea of what any of these people are like, even if what they're like is fairly close to what they show you. They're showing you an idealised version of themselves in an environment they have control over. You can't get a pretty good idea of what someone's like from funny haha youtube videos. And yeah sure this Wilbur has faggot has double the subscribers Carson does now but do you not remember why this thread exists, Carson had a bit over 3 million subscribers before while at the same time Wilbur was sitting at about the same amount give or take a few thousand.
I'm not jumping to any conclusions about this, I'm just assuming these people are human

You better sit this one out, Ricardo.

Ladies, Ladies, you’re both pretty. Quit arguing.

Different outlook on the situation, former Lunch Club/CMC fan here:

There’s certain people in the friend group you can definitely tell were tryin to save their asses.
One of which is Noah Hugbox, which is unsurprising given how he’s an edge lord and considers himself the enemy of the internet or some shit like that. Noah went to Keemstar, of all people, dragging along Travis who didn’t have much to say so he could have some sort of support while exposing Carson. He later went on an angry rant on stream, seemingly projecting onto the other members that “none of them were friends with Carson.”
Things to know about Noah, he was never the most popular of the group and was constantly overshadowed. After the drama, he tried to drag creators in the group that were more popular than him, by accusing them of never being friends of Carson in the first place, succeeding in sticking those weird CMC stans on them.
He definitely was only around Carson for his popularity, and only exposed him in an attempt to get more popular.

Next up is Slimecicle, who made a statement about how he was disgusted about the situation and cut all ties with Carson after figuring out what happened around the beginning of 2020. However, his statement was a lie, as he was involved in a game show Carson did in June of 2020, which would have been more than a few months after they found out. The fact he lied about that, is kind of telling why he jumped ship.

I don’t know enough about how the others, like TedNivison and stuff took it, since he mainly retweeted the statements and left it at that. However, there were some people who were obviously shaken because they were close to Carson, and denying it is just autistic.

Jawsh was Carson’s real life friend, they’ve been friends for the longest time, since before Carson became big. It’s honestly undeniable that they were close friends of many years.
Jawsh has recently started answering questions on Instagram about Carson, and in one he claims that he would rather be struck by lightning than associate with Carson again.

Considering what Carson did was a betrayal of trust, he has every reason to pack it up and leave. I’m sure there was more reasons, like the fact that Jawsh was never a part of Lunch Club even though he was Carson’s friend, that must have hurt him quite a bit, but when someone you’re close to and you care about betrays your trust after they tell you “I’ll stop doing that, don’t worry.” that honestly can hurt hard and then you feel like you can’t be around that person because of how easily they lied to you.

Everyone knows how Schlatt handled the situation, and his reason for walking away is for the same reasons. Loss of trust. There’s a lot of instances that back up Schlatt’s story. Last year, Schlatt would join Carson in a vc a few times, and be unaware that he was streaming, going on a ramble about the stream he was previously on before immediately snapping back into character after asking Carson if he was streaming. Schlatt mentions in his video how they spent a lot of time with Carson and would stay up through the night with him, the fact that they apparently had, not a stream designated discord, but a discord for friends where Schlatt thought they were all just hanging out and chilling is just an indicator of Schlatt being honest with his story. Also, an added fact is that Schlatt was pretty worn out when he joined, but yet he still did. If he didn’t care about Carson, he wouldn’t have joined the VC.
Another thing is, TheWeeklySlap is supposed to be Schlatt’s honest side, it’s where he puts on display his humanity and drops the character. He shares his stories and helps other people with things there. I highly doubt he would tarnish the reputation of that channel with a blatant lie. Again, it’s honestly relatively easy to tell that the thing that hurt most about the situation, was the betrayal of trust.
Also since that incident, he’s began to turn into an alcoholic of sorts, getting shitfaced drunk during a charity stream and having to call an Uber home. It’s honestly not a bit to chug an entire bottle of tequila/any alcoholic drink, something is clearly messed up in his mind.

I doubt anyone is saying that everyone only left Carson because they were disgusted by his actions and trying to be a moralfag. Obviously there are some people who leeched off of him and dipped once they saw controversy, and who could blame them? That’s their career at stake.
But, it’s also a bit unfair to assume that everyone had the same mindset when there’s significant backstory and other things pointing to the fact that they really cared about Carson and were blindsided by him in return. I don’t watch all the members anymore, but apparently cscoop fell into a depression after finding out Carson lied and manipulated him, and Travis has quit streaming. If that’s true, I doubt that happened because they were “cutting ties to save their ass.”

Some of them wanted to save their career, and some of them truly cared. And that’s the long and short of it.

The same sort of people who watch CMC probably have found a myriad of other channels to watch at this point. Plus Carson is gonna sacrifice the last of his dignity when all the comments on his videos and social media are just making jokes at his expense.
His channel does not have nearly enough of a backbone fanbase as others to have a full recovery. Pyrocynical had a great apology and a core audience that was willing to pick his videos back up right away and he saved his career (though I'm not particularly a fan, his videos do have some substance/content to boot). Carsons [fanbase] is just a bunch of weird band kids who have likely migrated on to MCYT/Dream and other sub-par "comedy" Youtubers. This added with the fact that CMC is obviously not going to hold up as a one man show (and who the fuck would partner with him after all the shit press), I can see him quitting the site very soon after his return.

I think this really hurt Jawsh the most. Between this and the stan harassment, I've noticed a considerable drop in quality on his content, and I don't think it's just because he isn't collaborating with Carson and his friends. Even in collab streams with people I like such as Altrive or JoSniffy, it feels like he really doesn't want to be there and just kills the mood. I think the only reason he hasn't completely quit streaming yet is because he's making more money than an entry-level job would.

do people not know it's possible for an act to not be explicitly "evil" while still being pathetic and creepy or what
y'all sucking carson's dick are crazyyyy
Did you even read the thread?
Also, your definition of evil is far more intense than mine. To me, anyone who uses whoever they can to get fame, while backstabbing whenever convenient, is likely doing the same shit irl, and is a lowlife evil pos.

For those who didn't catch it, I've stated numerous times from the start that there are very likely to be backstabbers, but the unanimous declaration of all of them being like that because you find their community gay is super autistic and brigady.

Wilbur was big before Carson was even a thing. Soothouse existed before any of these minecaft channels got big. My point is that Wilbur is the og here, not Carson. If anyone is leeching off of Carson, they're leeching off of Wilbur too.

thinking about mister hands described this situation excellently, so I'm gonna leave things to them from here on.

Yee, plus I believe Jawsh is also going through school, so he's got a lot on his plate at the moment. Not to mention he still gets harassed by Dream Stans, so even when he streams he can't escape some drama. His instagram is always flooded with people asking him about Carson, I honestly feel bad for the poor guy. He's super chill and an interesting guy to listen to because he's quite the history buff, hopefully he can pull himself out of the situation soon.

That's actually something a lot of people seem to forget oddly enough! It honestly applies to all "Minecraft/CMC stans" is that WilburSoot plus others from Carson's group technically kicked off both communities that Carson blew up from.
Wilbur started SootHouse when Reddit reading videos were at their peak, SorrowTV and them were basically the Big Two behind reddit videos, and had people somewhat copying them, or being inspired by their style. This applies to Carson as well, as he and his old friends did a similar "Reddit reaction" in a style much like SootHouse.
In terms of Minecraft, I can't find the VOD for it, but if the time lines up right, Wilbur and Schlatt started a 5x5 minecraft world a little bit before SMPLive, since it normally takes Wilbur about a month or so to edit, back in the day it might have been longer. Schlatt also was one who heralded in the Minecraft phase with his "Tribute to Minecraft" video. Another person involved with SMPLive, RTGame, also was responsible for the rise of minecraft as he would frequently do group builds with his twitch chat, where he let them run wild and build whatever they wanted as long as they (loosely) stuck to the theme.

Wilbur, Schlatt and RTGame, plus others involved in Carson's circle, all had a considerable following and were responsible for the resurgence of a game, plus the creation of a genre in Wilbur's case.
If anything, Carson technically grew bigger off of them, (or their concepts in Wilbur's case), and then they grew a shared audience together.

That's not downplaying Carson's success before, he and his old group of friends garnered quite the audience. But again, it was using a concept much similar to SootHouse and the real boom in subscribers was when he found a group who a lot of fans liked, such as Slimecicle, TedNivison, Cscoop and others who began to be featured more in his videos than his friends from previously.
