Well, Horkheimer; a whole bunch of commies from the old camps or out of exile and Adorno took over Frankfurt University after the war. The cancer spread from there after beign nutured in exile in the US. They were both hardcore commies and found a traumatized young generation. This sounds more like a French Intellectual problem there. Perhaps unfettered academic freedom is the true culprit and that the way to snuff it out is to make being a Soft-Science major as unprestigious as humanly possible.
They used the German guilt to declare themselves authorities on morality and built up a network (proto antifa/RAF) to stifle free speech on campus with violence if necessary, though both became victims of their far more radical students in the end.
Adorno was an ugly incel like Manbunpig. There is a famous picture of an antifa slut flashing him in protest while his own lecture is stormed by leftist thugs.
Might remind you of a certain fat, gay retard having problems handling his chat.
Achieving true academic freedom, e.g declaring violently disturbing a lecture a crime, I would even argue for declaring most leftist organizations as terror groups, might be the solution. Leftist ideas rarely hold up under scrutiny, to compensate that is all antifa is for in the end.
You are right about the Jacobins and their revolutionary zeal. The revolution was not good for France immediately and a lot of ideas from the Enlightenment were better established in Prussia under Frederick the Great.Fair point. Granted Napoleon had his own issues but that's nothing compared to the turbo-retards like the Jacobins and alike.
Well Liberal Ideas like Individualism and Secularism in application to modern times came from the Enlightenment and it's thinkers in general. Which predates the French Revolution (though the Revolution was caused by it among other factors and took some of its ideas to retarded extremes). Either way I'm not really defending the French Monarchy. They were incompetent as fuck and did a lot of shitty things. However what replaced them was still worse in my eyes. The same reason why having the Bolsheviks replace Tsar Nicholas II and the Provisional Government under Kerensky was bad even though Tsar Nicholas II was a massive retard and the Provisional Government was also incompetent as fuck. Point being there was a problem but the solution that came from it in both France and Russia was objectively worse.
It was however the first victory of liberal republican forces against monarchism in Europe that wasn't in the middle of the mountains or a swampy wasteland in Northern Germany. It emboldened a lot of thinkers and great artists for example Schiller here in Germany. There was a lot of potential, before the extremist idiots took power and revived oppressive authoritarianism not only domestically but also philosophially and culturally in other countries.
