It's definitely a possibility, but I think it's only likely if he faked his death. If he's really dead, I don't think he'd pull that kind of troll.

and if it does come out, probably be something weak like some semi-prominent politician getting outed banging one of his prostitutes - the dead man's switch's actual existence will be a bigger story than what's in the cache.
What the hell would he have been invited to at any point in the last 20 years? Dude was a spent force, rocking out in remote compounds

He was definitely out of his mind, but he was far from spent. McAfee was not only one of the early promoters of BitCoin, but he was also one of the first to pump Monero. Anyone who says he was broke has no idea how much crypto he had. He was also making a new privacy coin when he was arrested.
He also posted photos of him hanging out with Epstein, and they were fairly recent pics.

He was facing tax fraud charges in the US, which carry up to 30 years in prison. He was 72 and that'd mean his maximum release date was at 102 years old.
"Justice reported that the surveillance professionals and the prison medical services have intervened immediately to practice resuscitation maneuvers, but finally the doctors have certified the death. "The judicial procession has traveled to the prison and is investigating the causes of death. Everything indicates that it could be a death by suicide," they said in a statement."
I don't think I ended up liking him after talking to him. I did get a chance to ask him some questions a while back and I found his answers very lacking.

Imagine this scenario:
McAfee still had some old unknown backdoors in McAfee Anti-Virus. The DMS spins up and starts spitting out data, automatically downloading the info into every computer that still has the Anti-Virus software installed.
It's just a dream, I know, but how fucking epic would that be?
