She looks more likable and not smug. Is this from the same comic?Kimiko was cute pre-Dark Science, that is, before she got that ripped masculine look and still looked sweet and tender and feminine and cuddly.

Yes, Diaz changed his art style a lot!She looks more likable and not smug. Is this from the same comic?
What happened to this guy? This could've been a better comic.Yes, Diaz changed his art style a lot!
Kimiko's first appearance
Hob Kimiko
Ripped Robotic Randroid Kimiko from Dark Science
My theory is that at first he was just a Transhumanism sperg who felt the urge to create a comic about a cute cyberneticist girl. Later he caught the SJW virus plus the Randroid virus and it was downhill from there. What happened to this guy? This could've been a better comic.

Agreed, Father Abaddon. 'Tis a shame, because I rather enjoyed the Hob comic, and keep hoping that Dark Science will improve. I have yet to have my hope rewarded in even the smallest of ways.Later he caught the SJW virus plus the Randroid virus and it was downhill from there.

I hope none of his fans expected him to do any work this month.

I don't remember who it was but there was a hentai artist that would agree with you who said people should open their minds by reading books other than comic books. What a world. In order to come up with good characters who have depth and to tell interesting stories, one should look at *real* literature for inspiration - Shakespeare, Goethe, Edgar Allan Poe, Faulkner, Thomas Pynchon, etc. (No, Aaron, Randcrap doesn't count, neither does Tolkien).
Aaron Diaz seems to think that you can create something noteworthy by regurgitating existing popular entertainment and sticking some semi-intellectual stuff you read about on Wikipedia on top. Unsurprisingly, the result is horribly trite.
That pretty much sums it up.
Also, is it just me, or has his art gotten even uglier than before?
"Not having any queer characters in a piece of fiction is a big red flag."
