What the dollar stores (and discount book stores) do is buy, often sight unseen, huge crates of random unsold books for literally like pennies each that publishers were sitting on in a warehouse, then resell them for $1 or so. They had no idea they were getting stuck with a copy of Crash Override they'll have to throw out one of these days.

What I like is that anti-GG people think of Zoe as a game designer, but she has only ever released one game, and she likely didn't do much, if any, work on what is an extremely basic text adventure in Twine. I've long thought that the real reason she tanked that Games Jam reality show is that she realised she'd actually have to do something that resembles game design for it, and would be caught out for not knowing a single fucking thing about what was allegedly her profession.

The vast majority of her actual achievements are negative. Of the things we don't have strong evidence to suggest she didn't get other people to do for her and then claim credit are a handful of mediocre comics and a likely small section of her book. No games, only scams. A few credits for doing fuck-all. And, of course, a man took his life because she ruined his with her lies.

She has enough people who got their moment in the spotlight from GG (Or just can't accept that it was a failure) that people will talk about it for a little while, but it would probably die quickly.

Hopefully this dude doesn't kill himself. Zoe doesn't need a higher body count.
