Not really. This is part of the psy op Dream paid for. You got that from Karl and it either drastically understates that deviousness of the average person or circularly assumes that Dream is an honest outlier. Purposefully cheating for shekels and clout and then gaslighting everyone when you get caught is not very sociopathic relative to condemning "racism" (ie white people) on Twitter, gaslighting everyone about your weight, and so on. I mean, this is literally a guy who made a song about wearing a "mask" or whatever.

This Twitter drama is very autistic to me. But aside from that, despite not streaming this month, he will still be earning money to donate to the Trevor project as I don’t doubt he has many active subs.
A normal person would have big holes and inconsistencies in their stories if they were to weigh in on the scandal as much as Dream did. He talked to many people publicly on video. It is easy to want to lie, gaslight and manipulate people, but it is even easier to contradict yourself if you talk too much. Dream definitely talked a lot.

It's not that hard, he probably just convinced himself of his own BS. And he did have holes and inconsistencies. Karl himself says Dreams story changed multiple times. Because the video was sponsored by Dream, Karl says that's evidence that Dream was honest. I guess he supposes 12 year olds don't listen very attentively.
Anyway, I don't get why people would be surprised that a person who supports sodomy pride month with a straight face would also be able to lie about other things with a straight face, both for clout.

A tl;dr of Karl's video is "he cheated", that's it. Once a cheater always a cheater.

- The "Photoexcitation" was just some consulting company set up by a professional he found. So Clay found the professional, who wanted the shit to run through that site and him to remain anonymous.

Karl's video is pretty solid, but anyone who watches ten minutes of Karl's content will immediately realize what a sperg he is. He's very obviously autistic, or at bare minimum not neurotypical. He discounts all the emotional factors to the case and just doesn't have good enough social skills to grasp the mindset of somebody like Dream.
It's pretty obvious to 'normal' people what Dream did. He did exactly what every politician, celebrity and other high-profile public figure does in situations like this; deny everything on principle. It's a very simple attitude, not to mention a ubiquitous one. Even in a court of law, the most obviously guilty person will plead 'not guilty'. Karl dives down a very deep, convoluted rabbit-hole like a true autist, trying to figure out every possible variable and bit of context to frame the narrative in a way that makes logical sense. One thing after mulling this video over is the talking point that "Since Dream had no consistent narrative then he was probably innocent of malicious cheating" which goes against basic concepts in law; if a witness consistently changes their story they're unreliable. Karl goes on to justify his stance with the example of Billy Mitchell who, unlike Dream, is not personable and sticks to his story. This only says how good of a liar Mitchell is and not Dream's innocence and in the same video is shown to be an incompetent liar trying to spin half truths into a persecution narrative.
I think it's clear that Karl, despite giving a fair amount of valid and deserved criticism, became a bit too attached to the personalities at play and set out with the mindset to "not be like that guilible uninformed hatemob" which made him into an easy mark.

The video does a good job of providing info, but it's still akin to asking someone a bunch of softball questions in an interview IMO. I think he wanted to try to keep his image of "the great speedrunning cheater killer" while not angering Dream or his stan hatemob too much and risk being turned into a flesh chair.

hi this is Dream
I thought I would make this post regarding the Karl Jobst video because I thought it would be interesting and potentially helpful. Karl did an amazing job and as an investigator uncovered a lot of stuff that even I somehow didn't think about or realize. He didn't cover all of it, because he mostly focused on the mis-information rather than providing "information in my defense". I also don't want to create more drama or argue things more, so I decided against making a second channel video or anything. So below is just some stuff that Karl uncovered in his investigation that could be useful in coming to a determination. Would also be fine with answering questions below regarding his video or the speedruns in general.
Will be providing the information objectively with screenshots.
Info: While investigating Karl uncovered evidence that I had fabric and more importantly fabric API and used it in videos months before the streamed speedruns. You can tell I am using Fabric API in the screenshot below during a manhunt. You can tell because it says "[Fabric] Active renderer: none(vanilla)" on the F3 menu:

Importance: This video is not a mod video, and shows that I had fabric API installed and was using it well before my speedruns without any specific mods for a video. This was for a performance and QOL recording mod.
Info: While investigating Karl uncovered evidence that I had volunteered any files the moderators wanted when asked directly after my speedrun. It sounds stupid that he uncovered this, but I just never deep dove through all my messages with the mods until he prompted me to.

Importance: On the 18th (9 days later), I was asked about my mod folder and was unable to provide it then because I had deleted it on the 17th, the day before when I said I was quitting speedrunning. This is only important subjectively to show willingness to cooperate, even though I'm still an idiot
Info: There are still some people confused about me being dishonest about having had a recording mod in the first place to the moderators. I had mentioned the QOL mod on multiple occasions to the mods and Karl even mentioned in his video that I told Willz, a speedrun moderator, that if fabric api was actually on I was probably using my recording mod too. Although I also said that there would be nothing in the mod that would effect my speedruns. Something that I had confirmed with the developer, and had decompiled my current version of the mod to check (and there was nothing). After seeing the fabric API logs and misunderstanding them, I thought that it was 100% that I wasn't using the recording mod, but that was after the mods released their report.

This is separate from what would be on the server side, which are plugins that are also related to QOL but that cannot be done through the client side. This would include a pause command to pause the time in case we need to use the bathroom or something, decreased eye break percentages and higher pearl trade percentages (specifically now in 1.16.5, trades are like 1.16.1), and just generally other QOL improvements.
These two things can't be confused, are not compatible with each other and function completely differently.
Anyway I thought these were interesting things that Karl uncovered or helped me uncover during his investigation, which was much more thorough than I could have imagined.
I'm glad that this saga has come to more of a close, although I'm happy to answer any questions like I did with Karl because there's a lot of nuance to understanding everything.
