A Corolla tire is a 17 inch tire in the most common size available. You are talking $90-$110 for the tire. The mount and balance at most would be $30. Now it is possible they told him to change all his tires which is common when they are old enough and one goes flat.

To change the subject I was thinking about his whale calls. They normally are answered with large tips. That means one of 2 things:
the large tipper doesn’t watch Phil regularly and only comes when called

or

The large tipper is in stream and waits to be called to save the day (or he likes to watch phil squirm).

Phil just announced he might have to do a "fund raising event" in the middle of the month to pay his mortgage if he can't raise the tips goal every single day. Oh boy.

From what ive seen from those whales and big tippers in general, is that they like to wait until the last moment or like to come in and "save" the stream. Almost as if they want the validation and recognition from phil( which is funny) Like they want phil to create a dependency( which i think they have done it) best examples are when certain tippers that come out of nowhere to donate after a whale call, tippers with names have either never tipped or have next to 0 chat interaction. Which as you say they like to see dsp squirm and suffer until the last second, almost as if they get off from it.

edit: im not a psychologist,, so i can be talking out my ass for all we know

Yeah the $600 tire shit is ridiculous. Like everyone said here he mostly got swindled by wherever he went. I had a flat and a bad front tire took it too Mexican tire place.
The roach could simply just be lying too. Not like they drive super far or a lot. He probably went through his Rolodex of bullshit excuses and just found auto, I haven’t used this in awhile.

Phil said it is incredibly stupid to involve your spouse in your business. They should not be helping you because that is going to cause issues, one of the dumbest things you can do. This was a response to someone asking if Kat could help him get an Xbox. Usually I'd feel bad for someone getting scammed by their wife but since it's Phil, it's well deserved.
This was one of his more bizarre reactions. His wife is the one that signed up for all the good times and bad, rich or poor. Random internet strangers didn't sign up for that shit. He had no good response to that because there isn't one. He probably has the money and he's bitter because he once made more money and thinks he should still be making that money. He's got no self respect at all, it's embarrassing.

It looks like a 2017 toyota corolla does come with a donut spare so he lucky most sedans don't now they jsut give you an expensive can of fix-a-flat and call it good. And a lot of new replacement oem rims are really expensive like on recentish hyundais, subarus and even fucking ford sedans new oem replacement rims can be like 600 if you don't have steelies. I doubt he needed a new rim he just got a flat and they prob talked him into replacing all the tires. He was due to get new tires anyways since the oem tires cars come with now usually suck and are low rolling resistance tires so they wear out faster than tires use to. Also those tires are around 5ish years old and we know since he never does car maintenance he's never rotated the tires to keep tire wear even so the fronts will have way more wear. And at around $150 per tire for some cheap name brand all seasons, $600 seems about right and you get free mounting and balancing when you buy the tires at the place.

Phil didn't say he had to pay $600 for a new tire but was worried he would have to and the shop told him that they were able to "repair" the tire. He was just hyping up the cost just like how he says he has $5k in bills a month.
He loves to catastrophize financial issues as a means to beg. Dude probably got his tire patched for $30 BUT there was a 0.000001% chance he would have had to spend a few hundred for new tires so he took the highest possible figure he could find on Google, rounded up, and told his ♿ that's how much it was going to cost. Does anyone remember when he got two ear infections in a row and was throwing out price estimates for ear surgery when he hadn't even seen a doctor yet? This also reminds me of when a small time whale charged back ~$100. DSP flipped the fuck out because they had donated around $800 total in the last year and IF they decided to charge back the rest and IF they won he would be screwed. Of course this never came to fruition and so it was never mentioned again.

They're both scamming each other. Sure, Kat is living rent free, car payment free, expense free in DSP's mid unit condo, but DSP is gacha-ing away 50% of his income without Kat even knowing about it.

This is Dirty Rotten Scoundrels but none of them are suave, just white trash.

So it's pretty apparent that Dave uses PayPal instant transfer which incurs a 1% fee (versus local bank transfer which is free but can take 1-3 business days). This fee increases to 1.5% in August.

I keep flipping back and forth so wanted to see if anyone had an opinion.

If you were calculating his net income after fees, would you factor the PayPal instant transfer fee (which is completely optional) into that equation? Cause theoretically he's already received the money, he just chooses to throw extra money away for instant gratification right? If we factored in optional fees, then we might as well assess a Scopely fee on his income lol

Unless he’s paying directly from his PayPal account balance, which the Apple store allows you to do.

"If you guys don't give me enough money I'm going to ask you for more money"

How are there still people giving this guy money when he talks to you like this? This is implying that people are willingly holding back on giving him money and he's going to get it either way, so you might as well hand it over sooner rather than later. Just a total scumbag.

Can we just admit that these prestreams are now just Phil's masturbation sessions? It seems all he does comes back around to talk about him, no matter the subject. Even if he has no idea what the fuck he's talking about.

EDIT: Snowkarl had better watch it with his poking holes in Phil's ramblings. Proving the pig wrong isn't wise.
