You Know What Grinds My Gears? - Things that personally piss you off

I'm not sure which is worse; the women who use their sexuality to tease horny/desperate men into bankrolling their NEET lifestyle or the men that shower these e-thots with money and somehow think it buys them the right to do whatever they want with them (protip: it doesn't and @BATHMETHAMPHETAMINE is right that many have a bf/husband and still grift).

It's probably easier and simpler to say they deserve each other and the resulting drama.
Personally, both. The only thing that makes me smile is that they leech off each other. Actually, I'll give the slight edge to those types of women. You so much as criticize them, they have an army of incels and simps to jump to their defense.

I found another thing that pisses me off. These people hold these signs with a smug smile on their face like they're DOING something.

I hate that shit too. On the same note, I hate people who think just going to protests or demonstrations is equivalent to them being on the front lines. A former friend of mine thought like this. He unironically saw himself as a "frontline activist" because he marched, picketed, sang at the protest or rallies, donated money to and voted for the Democrats, and faithfully watched CNN. Never mind that he lived a cozy life detached from the causes he rallied behind, he was one of the wholesome good guys because showed up for protests! He also never did anything beyond showing up for protests. Honestly, it makes me both cringe and seethe when I think about what a smug, hypocritical asshole he is.

"This is super serious business, let me smile like I'm holding my fucking birthday cake in my hands." Mate, at least try to hide the fact going to slutwalks gives you the happy feelings.

The one phrase every goddamn person on twitter, tumblr and other sites use when making a post/"hot take": Y'all.

The smugness that radiates from this particular phrase almost makes me want to punch my monitor. To them I suppose it makes them look like they're acting sassy and can take hits - but as soon as I see it I know that it's only going to take one naysayer who disagrees with their opinion to send them into a complete meltdown and howl out for the hivemind to make the bad person with their bad opinions go away.

I can't wait for the day "y'all" is replaced by another obnoxious phrase in the social media lexicon. It will not be missed.

Honestly horny lonely men should be mercilessly ridiculed, harassed and shamed for watching and especially funding titty asmr/streamers/gamers whatever shit. If not for the sake that you are being taken advantage of so some bitch (and her bf that btw isnt you) can live nicely while youre still molding on momma's basement, I really am tired of finding this shit when looking for some decent content to watch/listen. Like you are pathetic, kill yourself or stop it. Stop enabling this fucking shit content.

Tangential to this, but seeing someone who simps hard for just such a streamer (to the point where they've dropped over $2000 in one month) while at the same time constantly complaining about how they're the only one who takes care of things in their household while also complaining that they're having employment issues at the moment and they really need to cut back on their spending despite making no attempt to do so whatsoever just confounds me. Especially when they make themselves emotionally involved in the streamer's affairs when they definitely have more important things to be worrying about themselves, what with their steadily destabilizing means of income and livelihood.

I suppose it would be better to laugh at their hubris instead, but I can't help but feel irritation and contempt for someone so thoughtlessly and eagerly destroying their own financial security just to prove that they're the biggest simp and curry imagined favor with a streamer.

EDIT so I can tack on one more thing, which is, again, tangentially related to the overall topic of streamers: I've also been developing an increasing disdain for this mentality that a lot of content creators keep fostering on the internet where they discourage any normal, healthy social interaction and instead want to ensure that their following serves as nothing but a hugbox and is completely masturbatory to the creator's own ego. Suddenly, bantering in a community is a touchy issue, and giving feedback is also a total grey area because why the hell would an entertainer ever want to hear your opinion? Either praise them while you watch them or stay silent and keep watching them, you fucking ungrateful plebe.

At least, that's the attitude as it comes across to my interpretation.

People who over exaggerate not feeling well. Really irritates me when people have a slight headache or a small case of the sniffles and act like they’re on death’s door completely unable to do anything except lie in bed like a slug. Pop an Advil, take a day off but quit fucking acting like you’re wasting away like a character in a Charlotte Bronte novel.

Consoomer culture because of pathetic people who devote their entire lives to buying and spending can really be. (not even like collectors who know there are limits to what they can own) Consoomers will take out mortgages and loans just to buy the newest and latest product; toys, shows, movies, clothes so long as it comforts them and makes them feel like their part of a fantasy world the real problems and the real root of their unhappiness doesn't matter.

They watch and indulge in something maybe once while claiming to be fans of it before moving on to the next like locusts moving from one patch of crops to the next. Completely oblivious to how hollow and meaningless their lives have become (more than usual) by their desire to consoom.

John Carpenter said it best in They Live

I've seen people lament their inability to pay bills for essential items such as rent/mortgage, utilities, food, or auto upkeep while they openly discuss how much they spend on vices such as drugs, alcohol, gambling, or e-thots. It's one thing to spend one's discretionary income however desired, but the essentials have to be paid for first. That said, it's not too surprising when one considers how many people lack basic finanacial literacy and management skills today.

I think part of the problem is that many people don't know how to give constructive criticism any more. On any site for artistic expression, how much feed back is either, "OMG, that's so awesome!" or "OMG, that sucks, you should delete your account now." with little in between either extreme. In that regard, I can understand creators not wanting to entertain feedback.

However, these creators have to realize that:
  • Constructive feedback is a key part in self-improvement,
  • Not everyone is going to offer their feedback in a constructive way, and
  • Posting stuff on a public site tends to invite feedback -- wanted or not, constructive or not.
Those creators that dismiss truly constructive feedback with a "don't like, don't view" attitude are definitely piss-off worthy.

Related, but also 'muh lived experience'. Like I'm supposed to give a shit.
Sometimes, someone else's perspective can be useful to understand why they say, do, or feel what they do. Unfortunately, "muh lived experience" is used more to dismiss someone else's experiences or declare their opinions invalid.

The 'Farms had it right when one of the site rules against powerllevelling reminded people "Your life story sucks and nobody cares anyways" given how many people feel the need to put their business where it doesn't belong.

I don't disagree that people on the internet on average seem wholly incapable of giving decent feedback on anything, but given the easily accessible means of communication and the sheer number of people actually using the internet in this current age, content creators end up in a position of having to take what they can get. That's what usually distinguishes a decent one from the lolcows we tend to laugh at on here – decent to great creators know to mentally filter shitters (usually) without actually telling them what they can and cannot say or do. Lolcows are usually quick to silence dissent or, in some particularly egregious cases, keep their means of receiving feedback open just so they can throw histrionics over whatever they're told.

Gotta learn to take the good with the bad. The audience base is inevitably going to stagnate, then eventually decline, if the creator filters everything but worship. I occasionally see someone I enjoy in danger of leaning a bit too far down this slope and it's irritating when it's a stance that's usually espoused by the type of borderline lolcows who do have their heads stuck up their asses, and you know the only reason the content creator you like is also showing support for such a stance is because it's a more prominent name who's saying so, or the message itself is doing Iron Man numbers.

I’d planned on making roasted pork loin, with cheese ravioli and Caesar salad on the side for dinner. Ran it by my bf and he’s like “sure sounds fine.”

There’s a couple we’re friends with and they kind of just drop in when they want to. I mention that I’ll have to get more ingredients if they’re over. When one of them heard what I was making she was like “wtf ravioli and pork? Gross, those don’t go together.” Then she tells it to her boyfriend and he’s also like nah that’s weird. You come into MY house and tell me what to cook? I’ve already had to edit ingredients before because the woman is so damn picky. Plus my bf doesn’t back me up, just goes okay we’ll do something else.

It’s small, but it’s just irksome. Maybe pork and ravioli is weird. But I’m an adult, I can decide what to cook.

Edit: I tell them it’ll be an hour or so since I want the pork to dry brine first. They act like that’s ridiculous and dumb. Bitch, I didn’t even know you guys were coming over until like an hour or two ago.

Hockey fans and personalities.

They act like the playoffs are random, where the only non-dynasty teams to win in recent memory are St. Louis and Washington, where St. Louis won by injuring the better teams until they could beat them and getting away with other ridiculous antics.

Also, with the upcoming draft some scouts are acting like you'd be happy taking a Horvat-clone 2nd because he plays for a large market. Horvat is a below average 2nd line Center who hustles and virtue signals in interviews.

Having to get up at six in the morning every morning. No matter how much I sleep, I still feel exhausted waking up at six.
If I go to sleep now, I wake up tired. If I go to sleep later, I wake up a mere couple hours later. When I'm tired, I can't sleep. When I need to sleep, I'm wide awake.

People who post porn and lewd shit everywhere. The Steam artwork section for example is just littered with coomer shit and e-thots in wigs. Even good art threads and sections else where end up jammed with 2D women and irrelevant e-thot gifs.
Have you seen the Skyrim nexus? Skimpy clothes mods and porn mods are a fucking plague.
